Rodrigo de la Serna Movies

Versatile Argentinean stage and screen actor Rodrigo de la Serna first stepped into the international spotlight as the traveling companion of a young Ernesto "Che" Guevara (Gael García Bernal) in director Walter Salles critically acclaimed, Academy Award-winning drama The Motorcycle Diaries. Before that breakthrough role, de la Serna had been acting onscreen for nearly a decade -- primarily in television. And while much praised was lavished upon his Motorcycle Diaries co-star Bernal for his portrayal of the legendary Cuban revolutionary, de la Serna was also honored at the Independent Spirit Awards and the Argentinean Film Critics Association Awards for his memorable performance in the film. In 2005, de la Serna could be seen in the miniseries Botines, with a headlining role in the 2006 television series Hermanos y Detectives following in quick succession. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
