Filmmaker Sebastian Gutierrez writes and directs this ensemble comedy following ten Los Angeles women over the course of 24 hours. When porn starlet Electra Luxx (Carla Gugino) discovers that she's pregnant, her wild world of pleasure and excess is suddenly turned upside down. Subsequently stuck in an elevator with neurotic Doris (Connie Britton), Electra realizes she's standing at a pivotal crossroads in life. Meanwhile, adult film up-and-comer Holly Rocket (Adrianne Palicki) struggles with her reluctance to go girl-on-girl in front of the cameras by putting on a private show with her sexy friend Bambi (Emmanuelle Chriqui), a therapist (Sarah Clarke) turns to the bottle after discovering her husband has been unfaithful, a flight attendant (Marley Shelton) applies for membership in the Mile High Club with a famous passenger, and a precocious teen (Isabella Gutierrez) realizes that the adults in her life aren't nearly as well adjusted as they'd like her to believe. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

A couple who live on different sides of the divide of life and death discover just how many boundaries love can cross in this romantic comic fantasy. Elizabeth (Reese Witherspoon) is a hardworking and dedicated medical resident who, after 20 hours on duty, is heading home when she falls asleep at the wheel of her car and is involved in a fatal auto accident. Several weeks later, a man named David (Mark Ruffalo) takes over the lease on Elizabeth's apartment, but he discovers that she hasn't quite vacated the building. Elizabeth's body may be dead, but her spirit is still quite lively, and her ghost is insisting that the apartment is still hers...and that she wants him to move out. David brings in Darryl (Jon Heder), an eccentric man who claims to have psychic powers, to help sweep Elizabeth's spirit out of the apartment, but she refuses to budge, certain that she can't be completely dead, despite all evidence to the contrary. As Elizabeth and David try to share the flat, they discover that their differences aren't as great as they once imagined, and they become attracted to one another. But will Elizabeth's spirit stay in the land of the living long enough for their romance to go somewhere? The third season of Six Feet Under continues its long, slow setup with another episode devoted to patient character development. Claire (Lauren Ambrose) finally decides she's had enough of her hottie beau's philandering; she kicks Phil (J.P. Pitoc) to the curb and throws herself into art school, where new friend Russell (Ben Foster) and new instructor Olivier (Peter MacDissi) liven things up. Lisa (Lili Taylor), meanwhile, escapes a toxic relationship of her own by walking out on Carol (Catherine O'Hara), her neurotic movie-exec boss. A frustrated Nate (Peter Krause) resigns himself to moving his young family back into his mother's home. Ruth (Frances Conroy) is overjoyed at Nate's return, although she's also busy enjoying the hijinks of Bettina (Kathy Bates), her straight-talking, shoplifting new insta-best friend. As for David (Michael C. Hall) and Keith (Mathew St. Patrick), they struggle to loosen up and enjoy a poolside vacation together. Fun is eventually had, although their return to the city soon destroys any easygoing momentum they've attained. Amidst such minutiae, the biggest drama occurs with this week's featured death: a young woman (Megan Austin Oberle) mowed down by a car as a direct result of a cruel prank played by friends. In light of the fact that the married workers at Winfred-Louder receive higher medical benefits than the unmarried ones, Mr. Wick (Craig Ferguson) allows all married employees to go home early as a tornado approaches Cleveland, but forces the "singles" to remain at the store. Angrily, Drew forms a "singles union", which action leads to complications far beyond a mere natural catastrophe. Meanwhile, two story arcs are introduced, the first involving Mimi (Kathy Kinney) as she takes advantage of a seriously traumatized Mr. Wick, and the second concerning a curious development in the relationship between lifelong friends Kate (Christa Miller) and Oswald (Diedrich Bader). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Drew (Drew Carey) is lauded by his coworkers after 3000 uninterrupted days on the job. Unfortunately, this makes him feel like "Old Man Carrey" (the employees' new nickname for him), and he broods over the presumption that he has let life pass him by. To prove that he can be as spontaneous and impulsive as he was in his youth, Drew organizes a trip to New York's Yankee Stadium for himslef and his pals. Unfortunately, the big outing is quickly bogged down in a traffic jam with some curious participants, including Donald Trump, Carol Channing, and NYPD Blue's Detective Martinez (Nicholas Turturro). Disaster piles upon disaster, culminating in a misfire attempt to wallow in the Rocky Horror Picture Show experience--without The Rocky Horror Picture Show!
