Five unlikely acquaintances make their way across Afghanistan as war looms on the horizon in this satiric comedy from filmmaker Kabir Khan. Suhel (John Abraham) is a broadcast journalist from India who is given an important and potentially very dangerous assignment. New York City's World Trade Center has been attacked by terrorists, members of the Afghan-based Taliban are believed to be involved, and the United States is expected to launch a major attack on Afghanistan in a matter of days, so Suhel and a cameraman, Jai (Arshad Warsi), are flown in to get a front row seat for the upcoming fighting. As they search for genuine Taliban fighters to interview, Suhel and Jai make their way across Afghanistan in a Land Rover with their driver Khyber (Hanif Hum Ghum). The television reporters are soon joined by an American photojournalist, Jessica (Linda Arsenio), and before long they find a cooperative (if surly) member of the Taliban to guide them, Imran (Salman Shahid). However, as the miles pass the traveling companions find themselves less concerned with terrorism or international politics than sports scores and seating arrangements, and they encounter a number of strange characters along the way who make the absurdity of the coming war all the more obvious. Indian director Karan Johar's three-hour feature Never Say Goodbye (Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna) utilizes and celebrates the common Bollywood practice of combining multiple genres and elements - comedy, drama, romance and flashy musical numbers - into one picture of epic length, to maximize cinema's capacity for entertainment. The story concerns two Manhattan couples. Soccer player Dev (Shah Rukh Khan) and his magazine editor wife, Rhea (Preity Zinta) are happily married despite occasional stress on the relationship; PR executive Rishi (Abhishek Bachan) and preschool teacher Maya (Rani Mukherji) feel their marriage strained by her inability to conceive. But the couples' worlds are turned upside down when Dev and Maya meet and fall hopelessly -- wondering how they ever lived without one another. A crabby cab driver and an arrogant yuppie become locked in a battle of wills in director Milan Luthria's caustically hilarious comedy thriller. Raghu (Nana Patekar) is a temperamental working stiff whose penchant for getting fired has become an endless source of frustration to fed-up wife Sunita (Sonali Kulkarni). With only twenty-four hours to pay off a lingering debt of 30,000 rupees, Raghu reluctantly accepts a job as a taxi driver without his wife's approval. His cab hailed by wealthy playboy Jai (John Abraham), who is on his way to contest his late father's will, Raghu spots a ready opportunity to earn some quick extra cash. It seems that despite being completely shut out of his departed dad's revised will, the original document - stored in a nearby safe deposit box - favors him for a serious inheritance. When the cab crashes and the key to the safe deposit box goes missing, Jai panics. A woman is uncertain of what path to take when she loses the love of her life in this romantic drama from India. Balraaj believes his daughter-in-law needs to remarry and start life over again; he knows that Millie's friend Rajat (John Abraham), a musician, has long had feelings for her, and he tries to bring the two of two of them together. A grieving parent wants to clear the name of his son and see that the culprit gets his due in this drama from India. Vidhyadhar Patwardhan (Amitabh Bachchan) and his wife, Sumitra (Sharmila Tagore), are a pair of retirees in their sixties who often wish there was more excitement in their golden years, but are generally content with their lives. Vidhyadhar and Sumitra both dote on their son, Amar (John Abraham), who is in his early thirties, though his rowdy and impulsive nature often worries Sumitra. Amar has been living in England for several years, and when he returns for a visit, he has a surprise -- a fiancée (Anusha Dandekar). However, the happiness of his parents is short lived when Amar is killed when he happens upon a crime in progress on the street. Vidyadhar wants to see the men who killed his son brought to justice, but it soon becomes apparent this isn't going to be easy -- the defense attorney claims that Amar was a drug dealer and that his clients acted in self-defense, and his strategy is unexpectedly successful. The production team behind the 2003 Bollywood his Jism return with this thriller about a girl who travels to Delhi in search of a young boy reputed to be the reincarnation of a grand master, and the gangster that pursue them into the mountains after the child bears witness to a gangland slaying. Kaaya (Udita Goswani) is the daughter of a Buddhist (Mohan Agashe) who lives deep in the mountains. When word spreads that a young boy named Llahmo (Madan Bhiku) is an ancient master in a new body, Kaaya dutifully travels to Delhi in order to seek him out. Unfortunately for both Kaaya and Llahmo, the child has seen something he shouldn't have.
