The feature debut for writer/director/star Brent Florence, A Girl, 3 Guys and a Gun is a low-budget heist film originally shot on high-definition video. Frank (Florence) decides to skip town with his two pals, Neil (Christian Leffler) and Joey (Kenny Luper). Needing the funds to make it to the next city, the three guys get into a bumbling kidnapping scheme involving a girl, Hope (Tracy Zahoryin). Also known as The Solid Ones. ~ Andrea LeVasseur, All Movie Guide
Evidently inspired by Saving Private Ryan, this episode takes place in July of 1944, in the closing stages of WW2. A group of soldiers, led by Sgt. Walker (Matthew Glave), make a pact that if one of them survives the war, that person will deliver letters of hope to the others' loved ones. Monica (Roma Downey) is assigned to watch over this "special" platoon, which includes ultra-cynical Pvt. Faraday (Christian Leffler), and the eternally optimistic Pvt. Rourke (Andrew Kavovit). What follows is a maelstrom of terror, courage, cowardice, stupidity and nobility--but the payoff does not occur until 50 years later, during a poignant visit to a London pet shop. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

The true story of one of the most unlikely love stories and show biz successes of the '60s is reenacted in this made-for-cable comedy drama. Sonny Bono (Jay Underwood) is a guy determined to get his foot in the door of the Los Angeles music business; he pitches his songs to artists and producers when he's not busy with his day job, and will do nearly anything to climb the ladder of success. In time, Bono makes his way into the session band for famous record producer Phil Spector (Christian Leffler) and gets a job signing acts and producing sessions for a small independent label. But Bono gets his biggest break when he's fixed up on a date with one Cherilyn Sarkisian LaPierre (Renee Faia), who, as it turns out, is a singer struggling to make it in Hollywood. Sonny sees talent in the girl called Cher for short, and he puts his money and career on the line to make a duet record with her. The two also fall in love and are happily married by the time "I Got You Babe" makes them pop stars. But as their career goes through peaks and valleys, so does their relationship, and as their act reaches a crossroads they divorce, forcing both to reestablish themselves on their own. And the Beat Goes On: The Sonny & Cher Story was first broadcast on February 22, 1999. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

The Most Dangerous Game meets The Running Man in this episode, wherein Quinn (Jerry O'Connell), Maggie (Kari Wuhrer), Remmy (Cleavant Derricks) and Colin (Charlie O'Connell) emerge from their latest slide to land on a deserted earth. Here they find themselves in the middle of a target range created by the Hu-Maggs, a race of Kromagg-human hybrids who hunt down humans like animals. The Sliders try to rescue one of the "hunted", Jenny Anderson (Meredith Bishop), but she resists their efforts, explaining that the Hu-Maggs have promised to set her free if she survives the huntdown for twenty days. What Jenny doesn't know is that there have never been any survivors...and never will be. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
