A computer programmer whose love for internet porn just cost him his latest girlfriend struggles to keep his sexual hang-up in check while ensuring that his company doesn't go dark during the Y2K changeover in director Cameron Leabine's kinky romantic dot-comedy. The year is 1999. Lewis (Tyler Labine) is a computer programmer whose appetite for internet smut is insatiable - a peccadillo that doesn't go unrecognized by his neglected girlfriend Sarah (Laura Bertram). Upon being dumped by Sarah, Lewis finds his sexual addition becoming much more tactile. Now that there's no flesh to interfere, Lewis is free to become more intimate with his silicon sweetheart than ever before. But the man known as "Magneto" to his online friends is about to find his burgeoning digital romance interrupted thanks to more pressing issues at work. Lewis has been recruited to prepare his department for Y2K, and should he fail the entire East Coast could be left in the dark. As the dawn of the new millennium approaches, the perverse programmer finds himself increasingly attracted to some of the newer models around the office. In order to avert any direct suspicion, Lewis asks new office receptionist Jane (Sonja Bennett) out on a date. But Jane has her own suspicions about Lewis' motives, suspicions that may not be entirely off the mark. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Forget terrorists or hijackers -- there's a handful of deadly assassins aboard a jet liner and they don't even have arms or legs in this airborne thriller. Neville Flynn (Samuel L. Jackson) is an FBI agent handling what seems like a routine assignment -- serving as bodyguard for Sean Jones (Nathan Phillips), a Hawaiian surfer dude who is flying to California to testify in a high-profile criminal trial after witnessing mobster Eddie Kim (Byron Lawson) murdering one of his underlings. However, Flynn's job gets a lot more challenging when he discovers Kim's associates don't want Jones to talk, and have devised a unique way to ensure his silence. A cache of highly dangerous poisonous snakes has been hidden on board the jet, and is released using a timed mechanism once the flight is well underway. The snakes quickly attack several members of the flight crew and are eagerly eying the passengers when Flynn decides its time to get medieval on the reptiles. Also starring Rachel Blanchard, Benjamin McKenzie, and Mark Houghton, Snakes on a Plane was produced under the title of Pacific Air Flight 121, but in several interviews Samuel L. Jackson expressed his enthusiasm for the script's original title, Snakes on a Plane, and the high-concept moniker quickly made the film's title and theme a favorite with bloggers and on Internet fan sites all over the world. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

A man trying to save his relationship with the woman he loves finds himself sinking into a quicksand of small lies and half-truths in this comedy. Paul (Jason Lee) is a regular guy who is engaged to marry Karen (Selma Blair); while Paul loves Karen, he's more than a bit nervous around her family, even though her father (James Brolin) has already given him a job in the family business. Shortly before the wedding, Paul's friends throw him a bachelor party, complete with a boatload of liquor and a squadron of grass-skirt-clad tiki dancers. Paul strikes up a conversation with one of the dancers, the cheerful if inept Becky (Julia Stiles), and the next morning, he wakes up bleary-eyed with a massive hangover -- and Becky in bed next to him. Paul soon receives a phone call from Karen saying she's stopping by for a visit, and Paul scrambles to get Becky out of his apartment. Paul attempts to explain some incriminating evidence with a few white lies, but a messy situation gets messier when Paul runs into Becky at a pre-wedding family get-together...and discovers she's Karen's cousin. A Guy Thing also features Shawn Hatosy, Lochlyn Munro, and Julie Hagerty. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
