An East Los Angeles high school cheer squad captain finds her hopes of winning the upcoming Spirit Championships dashed when her mother remarries and their family relocates to Malibu, where the current cheer squad isn't quite up to snuff. With their fiery fusion of Latin and hip-hop moves, Lina Cruz (Christina Milian) and her best friends Gloria (Vanessa Born) and Treyvonetta (Gabrielle Dennis) are about to lead the East L.A. high school cheer squad to victory at one of the most prominent competitions in the nation. But just as the crew is about to take the world by storm, Lina's mother remarries and the family makes the move to Florida. Once there, Lina quickly realizes that the Malibu Vista High Sea Lions aren't anywhere near as talented as her old cheer squad. Now, in order to transform the Sea Lions into a championship team, Lina must teach them the moves needed to knock the award-winning Jaguar cheer squad and their trash-talking captain Avery (Rachele Brooke Smith) out of the top spot. When Lina and Avery's brother Evan (Cody Longo) becomes romantically involved, the competition between the two girls really begins to heat up. Walt's father, Michael (Harold Perrineau), is very unhappy with the close friendship that is developing between the somewhat creepy survivalist Locke (Terry O'Quinn) and Walt, and tries to put an end to it. And, once again, a ferocious animal that is unfit for tropical climates makes an appearance in the jungle...this time attacking young Walt (Malcolm David Kelley) when he runs off on his own after yet another disagreement with Michael. Flashbacks in this episode give insight into the strained relationship between Michael and Walt -- and indicate that there may be something "different" about the boy. In other events on the island, Shannon (Maggie Grace) finally starts to use her knowledge of French to help Sayid (Naveen Andrews), and Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) wants to know much, much more about the still-missing Claire (Emilie de Ravin). ~ All Movie Guide

Way back when she was 13 years old, lonely Holly Grant (Kelli Williams), envying the busy social lives of her best friends, made a wish to receive a boyfriend for Christmas. Instead, Holly was given a glass globe, ostensibly by "Santa Claus" himself, with the attached message that her wish would be granted within the next two decades. Flash forward 20 years: Now a dedicated pro bono attorney, the still-unattached Holly has experienced great success in making everyone happy -- except herself. Enter two men in our heroine's life: Ted Powell (Bruce Thomas), her onetime high school heartthrob, and some guy calling himself Doug, who strangely resembles a person whom Holly ardently dislikes -- and who may well be the answer to the wish posted to Santa twenty years before! A human eyeball, found in a raven's nest, leads the CSI team on a hunt for evidence which ultimately yields a dismembered female body in a landfill. But while the clues are there, the suspects or not -- unless one counts that divorced man with two children. As NYPD Blue enters its ninth season, Detective Danny Sorenson has been missing for five months, and the members of the 15th precinct are stressed out by the cataclysmic events of 9/11. Mark-Paul Gosselaar (of Saved by the Bell fame) joins the cast as Danny's replacement, former narcotics detective John Clark Jr., the son of a cop who is a longtime enemy of Det. Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz). Be that as it may, John and Andy must work together while investigating the drug-related murders of four girls. As the episode draws to a close, word comes that Danny's body may have been located.
