The Expendables return with a vengeance in this follow-up to the 2010 surprise hit. Con Air's Simon West directed from a script by Sylvester Stallone and David Agosto. This time, Barney Ross (Stallone) and his merry band of mercentaries (including Jason Statham, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, and Terry Crews) take on a mission from Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) to clear Ross' record. The mission in question involves acquiring a black box from a downed airplane, with the caveat that they bring along Maggie (Yu Nan), a military-trained soldier who throws a gendered wrench into the team's manly ranks. When another mercenary, Jean Vilain (Jean Claude Van Damme), ambushes the team and mess up their newest member (The Hunger Games' Liam Hemsworth), it's hunt and kill time for the Expendables. Jet Li returns in an extended cameo, as does Arnold Schwarzenegger, with fellow '80s action star Chuck Norris coming along for the ride. The Matrix masterminds Andy and Larry Wachowski usher anime icon Tatsuo Yoshida's classic 1960s-era hit into the new millennium with this family-friendly story of a young racecar driver who takes on the mysterious Racer X in a custom-made, gadget-loaded speed machine named the Mach 5. Speed Racer (Emile Hirsch) is the kind of driver that every wheelman wishes he could be: a born winner whose unbeatable combination of aggression, instinct, and fearlessness always finds him crossing the checkered flag with a comfortable lead. In Speed Racer's mind, the only driver who could present him with any real challenge is his late brother -- the legendary Rex Racer. Rex died in a heated cross-country rally known as The Crucible many years ago, and now his younger sibling is driven to fulfill the legacy that Rex left behind. Chinese director Wang Xiaoshuai crafts his pensive study of life in modern China concerning a couple who are confronted with love, responsibility, morality, and loyalty after their relationship fails and their young daughter falls ill. Years ago, Mei Zhu and Xiao Lu were a happily married couple with a beautiful daughter named Hehe. But the marriage ultimately failed, and the pair ultimately parted ways. Years later, Mei Zhu and Xiao Lu have both remarried, and Hehe is the only link that still bonds them together. When Hehe is diagnosed with leukemia, the doctors relay that the only hope for the ailing girl is a bone marrow transplant from a healthy sibling. A group of American fortune hunters enlist the aid of an American ex-patriot and ex-Army officer in seeking out a priceless treasure in the mountains of China, only to find their mission complicated by forces beyond their comprehension. The story begins in the 1930s, when the Soviets were cracking down on religion. A Buddhist artifact known as the Tangka was smuggled across the border into China, and secretly hidden deep in the mountains. The diamonds decorating the gold-inlaid textile alone are rumored to be worth $50 million, prompting a team of fearless fortune hunters to travel halfway around the world for an adventure that could make them rich beyond their wildest dreams. But these adventurers are going to need some help if they hope to recover the Tangka and make it back home alive, so they travel to inner-Mongolia in search of an experienced American ex-patriot named Xander Ronson (Dolph Lundgren). Ronson has served his time in the military, and now all he wants is to fade into obscurity while indulging in drink and women, and participating in the occasional bare-knuckle brawl. But Ronson is no fool; he realizes that if her were to find the Tangka he would never have to work another day, and he aggress to help the mercenaries track down their treasure for a healthy finder's fee. A reserved Mongolian bride diagnosed with a debilitating back injury enters into an unusual agreement with her disabled husband in Lunar Eclipse director Wang Quan'an's Golden Berlin Bear-winning entry into the 2006 Berlin International Film Festival. Peasant Tuya (Yu Nan) is a happily married mother of two whose husband Bater is permanently disabled. One day, after hard-working Tuya collapses in the fields while straining to perform her rigorous duties, the local doctor diagnoses her with a lumbar dislocation. Subsequently unable to care for her invalid husband, Tuya and Bater agree to divorce so that the ailing woman can wed a husband capable of caring for both of them. Though several suitors throw their hat into the ring upon hearing that Tuya is available, each is immediately put off upon learning that Bater is part of the deal as well. The only man who seems willing to consider caring for both is divorced oil tycoon Baolier, who, as a smitten young schoolboy, was once good friends with the kindly Tuya. When a sudden tragedy strikes, threatening Bater's life, however, Baolier's true intentions open the door for Tuya's cuckolded neighbor Sen'ge to step in and save the day. A woman struggles to find a life of her own as circumstances conspire against her in this drama from China. Guan Ermei (Yu Nan) is a young woman living in rural China who, after the death of her grandfather, is paired off in an arranged marriage with Zhang Suo (Yan Su), a man who was willing to pay for the elderly man's coffin. Ermei soon finds she's little more than an indentured servant to Suo who puts her to work, but shows little interest in her. One of the few bright spots in Ermei's life is her friendship with gossipy Maonu (Shi Xiaoxia), and with her support Ermei walks away from her marriage and moves to a nearby town where Maonu works in a beauty salon. Ermei gets a job in a restaurant and strikes up a furtive romance with Qiao Liansheng (Liu Yanbin), but circumstances force her back to her husband where she finds herself caring for him after he's drifted into alcoholism. Two people brought together by fate are torn apart by their cultural and familial differences in this romantic drama. Raphael Ramirez (Samuel Le Bihan) is a first generation Frenchman whose parents emigrated there from Spain. Formerly a boxer, Raphael turned his back on pugilism and has gone into auto repair, though both Raphael and his brother, Manu (Yann Tregouet), both have a keen interest in the local Thai boxing scene. Raphael was once close friends with Tony Tran (Bounsy Luang Phinith), the son of a successful local businessman (Thomas Larget) who settled in France after leaving his home in Vietnam. However, Tony and Raphael have become wary of one another, and the tension between the two increases when Tony announces he wants to buy Raphael's garage. The simmering anger becomes explosive when Raphael meets Chinh (Yu Nan), a shy but beautiful girl of Cambodian heritage who is pledged to marry Tony.
