A popular television lifeguard show faces cancellation when the crew is forced to find a new director on short notice in this sexy satire filled with skimpy bikinis and lots of fun in the sun. Thanks to a healthy display of skin and a cast that includes some chiseled hunks and lovely lifeguards, "Bikini Squad" draws some of the highest ratings on television. After the original director walks and a female is brought in to finish the season, she finds that sticking to the shooting schedule is harder than it appears when you're dealing with a crew whose collective IQ is that of a bag of beach balls. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

The formula that worked so well in Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things is trotted out again in Bloodbath in Psycho Town. A motion-picture production crew, comprised largely of jerks and satyrs, descends upon a small town. As the crew members try to film a horror flick, they are picked off one at a time by a mysterious hooded killer. There's every indication that the film-within-a-film will end up better than what we're actually seeing. Look at the title, and guess what you're in for in the last reel. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Four female college students on their way to Florida on vacation witness a murder in Medley, Georgia in this routine thriller. A lover's quarrel ends in murder, with the victim being buried in a shallow grave. Two of the four students find the body and are killed by the murderer. He buries them along with the first victim, and the surviving duo are arrested. Deputy Scott (Tom Law) is convinced by the prisoners that Sheriff Dean (Tony March) is the killer of his girlfriend and their college chums. ~ Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide

Hide and Go Shriek is pedestrian stalker nonsense, this time featuring the usual group of sex-mad teens camping out overnight in a gigantic furniture superstore (owned by one of the kids' parents) and being picked off by a mysterious killer. The creepy ex-con, who both lives and works at the store, is presented as an obvious red herring, but the killer's true identity comes straight out of left field with a loopy homosexual subplot that serves virtually no purpose other than to tie up one of several dozen loose ends. Competently filmed but shamelessly derivative of countless other slasher films (which weren't particularly original in the first place), this non-thriller offers little of interest apart from a director with a cute name -- the one and only Skip Schoolnik. ~ Cavett Binion, All Movie Guide
