Angel (David Boreanaz) searches for information about The Beast (Vladimir Kulich) while dealing with the emotional fallout of Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) and Connor (Vincent Kartheiser) sleeping together. Meanwhile, Cordy continues to spurn Connor's affections even as she hides out from The Beast with him. Meanwhile, electrified cat burglar Gwen Raiden (Alexa Davalos) witnesses The Beast murdering one of her clients. She shares her information with Angel's crew, who soon realize that somebody is systematically destroying the five members of the Ra-tet, an ancient mystical order to which The Girl in the White Room also belonged. By the time this pattern becomes clear, only one member remains alive: Manny (Jack Kehler), a rather ordinary-looking guy who is actually the mystical entity Manjet. Cordy and Angel bunker down to protect Manny at Gwen's high-tech apartment, but he's nonetheless murdered when both of them fall hopelessly asleep; it appears that Cordy and Angel have been drugged -- an inside job that furthers suspicions about Connor being in league with The Beast. Eventually, the gang square off against their colossal foe, who uses the combined power of the Ra-tet to complete a mystical ritual that blots out the sun. Perpetual night descends on Los Angeles just as Cordelia finally gets a complete read on the vision that's been skirting the edges of her consciousness: She suddenly knows that The Beast shares a connection not with Connor, but with Angelus, Angel's evil alter ego. Antonio Banderas plays the title role in this cable-TV reenactment of a little-known chapter in the life of Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa. The year is 1914: With Villa's war of rebellion against the Huerta forces going badly, he hits upon a brilliant method to finance his crusade. Actually, the idea is brought to him: American filmmakers D.W. Griffith (Colm Feore) and Harry Aiken (Jim Broadbent), then busy at work on The Birth of a Nation, approach Villa with a request that he sell them the movie rights to his revolution. Acting as Griffith and Aiken's representative, junior executive Frank Thayer (Eion Bailey) tags along with Villa as the rebel leader willingly "directs" the film of his campaign, even going so far as to delay mass executions until early morning so that the cameramen won't "lose the sun." Ultimately, Villa's dreams of cinematic glory are dashed when the American public, goaded on by certain special interest groups, turns against Pancho and his noble cause. The weekly, hour-long Fox drama series Reunion covered 20 years in the lives of the six protagonists, from high school graduation in 1986 to adulthood in 2006. As conceived by creator Jon Harmon Feldman (Tru Calling), each episode would cover a different year, with different casts and locales, all leading up to the murder of one of the main characters in "the present." For season one, scenes of a police interrogation in 2005 led to flashbacks of 1986, allowing viewers tantalizing "then and now" glimpses of the principals, and providing clues as to who would be killed, who would be the killer, and why it all happened. Featured in the cast were Amanda Righetti as Jenna, Alexa Davalos as Samantha, Will Estes as Will, Sean Faris as Craig, Gregory Harrison as Russell Bennett, Dave Annable as Aaron, Chyler Leigh as Carla, and Mathew St. Patrick as Detective Marjorino. Inspired by a true story, director Edward Zwick's epic World War II drama Defiance tells the tale of three Jewish Eastern European brothers (Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, and Jamie Bell) who narrowly escape certain death at the hands of the Nazis, subsequently vowing to avenge the deaths of their loves ones by launching a desperate battle against the forces that seek to exterminate their entire race. Tuvia (Craig), Zus (Schreiber), and Asael (Bell) have miraculously managed to escape into the dense surrounding forest. Having played in these woods since childhood, the brothers have a distinct advantage over their adversaries, and soon decide that simply surviving is not enough. In order to make a difference, they must take action, but in order to take action they will need support. As whispers of their bravery take wind, others like them appear determined to lay their lives on the line for the cause of freedom. Tuvia has become the de facto leader of the group, but he's still somewhat reluctant to take on such a heavy responsibility and his brother Zus expresses concern that his idealistic plan will ultimately bring about the group's downfall. With winter setting in, everyone works to create a functioning community that will help them endure the frigid months that lie ahead, and Asael reluctantly finds himself caught in the crossfire of his older siblings' rivalry.
