The A-Team brings its five-season run to a rousing conclusion as Face (Dirk Benedict) and Frank (Eddie Velez) pay a visit to a surprisingly "sane" Murdock (Dwight Schultz), now working as a waiter in an Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, the three A-Teamers are held hostage, along with the restaurant's owner and his daughter, by mobsters who intend to murder Attorney General Liebster (Chuck Walling). Sneaking out a message written in anchovies on a pizza delivery, Murdock manages to alert Hannibal (George Peppard) and B.A. (Mr. T) to his plight. The climax is a riotous free-for-all, with guns blazing and fists flying--resulting in a near-fatality for one of the Team members! Face (Dirk Benedict) is given a trial membership at an exclusive country club, an honor that proves to be a mixed blessing when he finds out that Murdock (Dwight Schultz) is already a guest at the club--and that the A-Team's perennial nemesis Fullbright (Jack Ging) is a fully paid-up member. But that's not the worst of it; another member, crooked bank executive McKeever (Kevin McCarthy), is masterminding an elaborate counterfeiting scheme right on the club grounds. The A-Team is dispatched to a South Pacific island in search of a stolen religious icon, which must be returned in order to maintain political stability in the region. When Murdock (Dwight Schultz) puts the icon on as an adornment, he is immediately designated a "god" by a cannibal tribe ("Mutata, Murdockah, Mutata"). Meanwhile, the band of phony monks who swiped the icon in the first place descend upon the island and enslave the locals in order to work a diamond mine. The title character in this episode is a boozy ex-boxer (played by Paul Gleason), who is currently being persecuted by a gangster named Fats (John Hancock). At the request of his old pal Hulk Hogan, B.A. (Mr. T) tries to help Fats out for the sake of the old drunkard's son Jeffrey (Billy Jayne). Figuring that he'll never get a pardon from the mercurial Stockwell (Robert Vaughn), Face (Dirk Benedict) plans to escape during the A-Team's next mission. But things don't quite go as expected when Face falls in love with Sally Vogel (Valerie Wildman), a journalist whose pose as the girlfriend of mobster Tommy Tedesco (Richard Romanus) has placed her in dire peril. Pat Sajak and Vanna White appear as themselves in this episode, in which Murdock (Dwight Schultz) goes on Wheel of Fortune and wins $28,000 and a Hawaiian vacation. Unfortunately, he won't have a lot of time to enjoy his winnings--not after being abducted by a group of mean claiming to be CIA operatives, who want to recruit Murdock for a top-secret mission. When the rest of the A-Team finds out that Murdock is being hornswoggled by a gang of crooks out to steal a Soviet gunner, it's off to Las Vegas for a bang-pow finale at the Silver Horse Casino. Wrestler Hulk Hogan asks his old Vietnam buddy B.A. (Mr. T. to help him keep the Venice Boys' Center free from criminal infiltration. This proves difficult when the Kotero crime family takes an unhealthy interest in one of the Center's young charges, whose late father had hidden a huge amount of stolen money just before his demise. The henchmen of crooked land developer Phillip Chadway (Ray Wise) make a big mistake when they use strongarm tactics to force the elderly tenants of a Chicago apartment building to vacate the premises. It seems that one of those tenants is a certain Mrs. Barracus (Della Reese)--who happens to be the mother of a certain short-tempered "A-Teamer" by the name of B.A. (Mr. T). To save rock singer Stevie Faith (Valerie Stevenson) from kidnappers who claim to be opposed to her politics, the A-Team hides Stevie in a quiet suburban neighborhood. This requires our heroes to curb their violent tendencies and act like gentlemen--an assignment taken to extremes by Murdock (Dwight Schultz), who adopts the "Hi, neighbor!" personality of Mister Rogers! Meanwhile, Hannibal (George Peppard) has his troubles with a neighborhood watch group led by the inordinately zealous Joe Skrylow (Walter Olkewicz). . .while Stevie's crooked manager, the man behind the kidnapping plot, bides his time, waiting to strike again.
