The three youthful Argonauts embark upon a mission to fight the Ghidra, the fearsome two-headed "pet" of Hera. Hercules (Kevin Sorbo) offers to help the revived mummy of Prince Ishtar (Mark Newnham) to locate his descendant, Princess Anuket (Galyn Gorg). Meanwhile, villainous high priest Sokar (John Watson) has gotten hold of Ishtar's golden pendant, with which he hopes to gain complete control of Egypt. At the invitation of a talented young writer named Orion (Dean O'Gorman), Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor) enters a competition for a spot with the Athens City Academy of Performing Bards. She scores several points by relating the adventures of her traveling companion, Xena (Lucy Lawless) -- "illustrated" with clips from past episodes of both Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Xena (Lucy Lawless) and Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor) rescue an abandoned baby who has been left to drown in a river. The infant is being hunted by the cruel King Gregor (Edward Newborn), out of fear of prophecies that the child will ultimately topple him from his throne. As if doing battle with Gregor isn't hard enough, Xena and Gabrielle must also help the granddaughter (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn) of the infamous Pandora, who must retrieve the equally infamous Pandora's Box, lest it be allowed to unleash havoc upon the world all over again.
