Even though it got them a possible location for Marwan (Arnold Vosloo), Audrey (Kim Raver) warns Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) about the consequences of disobeying Logan (Gregory Itzin) by torturing Prado for information. "No one understands the consequences better than me," Jack tells her. Buchanan (James Morrison) tells Mike (Jude Ciccolella) what happened, and suggests he withhold the information from Logan, but Mike refuses. Logan is livid (and whiny) when he hears that a CTU agent undermined his authority, so he orders the Secret Service to arrest Jack. Mike logically suggests that he wait until after Marwan is apprehended, but Logan is adamant that the arrest be made immediately, if not sooner. So while Jack and Curtis (Roger R. Cross) close in on Marwan, who is recording a message to be played after the nuclear attack, the Secret Service arrive and compromise the mission. Meanwhile, Sabir (Kris Iyer), one of Marwan's techs, gets a call from his worried girlfriend, Nabilla (Lina Patel), who found a suspicious bookmark on his computer, and suspects his involvement with the recent terrorist activities. Another Marwan operative, Morrison (Keith Szarabajka), overhears Sabir's conversation and alerts Marwan, while Nabilla contacts the authorities. Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) determines that the schematic Nabilla has found is of a microchip used to control the trigger on a nuclear warhead. With CTU short on time and personnel, Buchanan (James Morrison) sends Chloe into the field to look at the computer. ~ Josh Ralske, All Movie Guide

Following her dramatic arrival after Jasmine's defeat (see "Peace Out"), Lilah (Stephanie Romanov) explains her presence at Angel Investigations. Despite having become one of Jasmine's first victims when she died at the hands of the possessed Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter), the late lady lawyer's contract with Wolfram & Hart extends into the afterlife. Now she's been dispatched to make the fang gang an offer: The evil law firm wants Angel (David Boreanaz) and friends to take over its newly restored Los Angeles office. After mocking her longtime foes for having ended world peace -- or at least Jasmine's sinister version thereof -- Lilah taunts them with a glimpse of all the good they might accomplish if given the awesome financial and mystical assets of an interdimensional law firm. Reactions vary, but by the time a limo arrives the next morning, Angel, Wesley (Alexis Denisof), Fred (Amy Acker), Gunn (J. August Richards), and Lorne (Andy Hallett) are all willing to at least hear the pitch. Each team member gets a personalized tour of the newly rebuilt Wolfram & Hart facility -- and a tantalizing glimpse of what his or her role might be in such an organization. Angel's ready to turn the deal down -- despite the offer of key information about recent events in Sunnydale -- when Lilah reveals the whereabouts of his missing son: Connor (Vincent Kartheiser) is getting ready to blow up the unconscious Cordelia and a slew of hostages in a bid to end his own pain and alienation. Angel conducts some stern negotiations and saves the day, but in doing so he loses the only son he'll ever have. Originally broadcast May 7, 2003, on the WB network, "Home" marked season four, episode 22 of the supernatural soap opera. At the time of broadcast, the WB still hadn't announced whether the program would be renewed, so the producers fashioned this episode as either a coda or a cliffhanger for the following season. David Boreanaz would next appear in the final two episodes of Angel's parent series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Another crossover of sorts occurs in the casting of Jonathan M. The 15th precinct investigates the death of a young boy, who was murdered for his bicycle. Eventually a suspect is arrested, only to embarrass the cops by escaping out of the interview-room window. Meanwhile, Frank Colohan (Nicholas Lea), the abusive brother-in-law of detective Connie McDowell (Charlotte Ross), manages to post bail, whereupon his wife, Michelle (Katherine La Nasa), forgives him and takes him back -- an act of kindness that has tragic and surprising consequences. The premature birth of Michelle's baby launches a story arc that will come to fruition at the end of NYPD Blue's tenth season. Arriving at a supermarket where a woman was abducted and murdered, Grissom (William L. Petersen) finds a message in the bathroom indicating that the killer has already struck five times before. Warrick (Gary Dourdan) and Sara (Jorja Fox) are reluctantly teamed as they investigate a robbery-murder in which the supposed victim isn't the victim at all.
