In this freewheeling spoof of the old radio and television series You Are There, modern-day tabloid reporter Nevil (Michael Hurst) literally goes to Hell and back to get the lowdown on Xena's (Lucy Lawless) latest mission. The muckraking Nevil is somehow convinced that Xena's efforts to get the golden apples of Valhalla, which when eaten bestow instant immortality, is merely a ploy to increase her own powers. In the course of his investigation, Nevil and his camera crew interview such Xena intimates as Ares (Kevin Smith) and Aphrodite (Alexandra Tydings), both of whom are more than willing to dish up the dirt in exchange for air time. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

In the concluding episode of Xena: Warrior Princess' own "Ring Trilogy," the battle pitting Xena (Lucy Lawless) against Norse god Odin and the Valkyries is over -- at least for the moment. Having lost her memory, Xena believes that she is Wealthea, bride of Norseman Hrothgar (John Leigh). Alas, if Xena doesn't recover soon, Gabrielle will remain in eternal sleep, surrounded by an impenetrable circle of fire with the sacred Rheingold ring by her side. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Meanwhile, Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor) grows closer to the enigmatic Brunnhilda (Brittney Powell), who holds a secret that will determine the outcome of this adventure. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

The title of this Australian drama series was slightly misleading. There was plenty of family around and about, but friends were scarce. Focusing on a pair of star-crossed lovers trapped in the middle of a long-standing feud between an English and an Italian family, the weekly, hour-long series was primarily designed as a comeback vehicle for Australian singer and soap-opera diva Abigail. Assembled by Crawford Productions for the Nine Network, Family and Friends briefly aired in 1990. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
