Beth Ostrosky Movies
Beth Ostrosky might not have seemed like a future sex goddess when she was attending Fox Chapel High School in suburban Pennsylvania, or attaining a degree in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh, but anybody who noticed the beautiful blond's svelte physique or megawatt smile probably had an inkling. Ostrosky began modeling part-time in high school and continued to keep up the career as a sideline throughout college before moving to New York after graduation to pursue the endeavor full-time.The early 2000s found her steadily climbing the rungs of the modeling industry, quickly moving on from catalog work into the more specialized realm of glamour and swimsuit modeling. Soon, she began making small appearances in movies and hosted the G4 series Filter in 2006 and the Spike TV series Casino Cinema. Ostrosky fulfills her charitable inclinations by supporting the North Shore Animal League, a New York-based no-kill animal shelter. She also began dating radio personality Howard Stern around 2000, and the two dated for eight years before getting married in New York in 2008. ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
This long running G4 series Filter runs down a new video game or pop culture oriented top-list in each episode, counting down everything from the 10 best RPG's to the three best current websites, often based on the results of viewer polls. ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
In this independent comedy, three buddies who have been sharing their thoughts on love and sex suddenly find that that's not all they're sharing. Stylish stockbroker Brad (Brian Van Holt), bohemian hipster Zeke (Zorie Barber), and socially inept Jonathan (Jonathan Abrahams) get together with their married friend Eric (Judah Domke) every Sunday at the same coffee shop to discuss whatever is on their minds -- which usually turns out to be women. While most weeks the conversation quickly turns to a crude exchange of views on "the art of seduction," one Sunday Brad, Zeke, and Jonathan all have the same remarkable bit of news for Eric: They've fallen in love. After comparing notes, however, they realize that they are all in love with the same woman, Mia (Amanda Peet). Whipped was the feature debut for writer and director Peter M. Cohen. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

In this satirical comedy, Mel Coplin (Ben Stiller) has a beautiful wife, Nancy (Patricia Arquette), and a four-month old son, and on the surface his life is good. But something's been troubling him: Mel knows he was adopted, and he can't resolve his issues with the mother who gave him away years ago, much to the annoyance of his adoptive parents (George Segal and Mary Tyler Moore). Mel decides it's time he met his birth parents and resolved his feelings once and for all, and Tina (Tea Leoni), a psychology student, has offered to tag along to capture the event on video for a research project. But after a few minutes with Mel's "real" mother, they discover that a mistake has been made and they've been directed to the wrong person. A second meeting, this time with Mel's supposed dad, also turns out to be a mistake, and it's quite some time before Mel, Nancy, and Tina are finally face to face with Mel's biological parents -- a pair of burned-out hippies (played by Alan Alda and Lily Tomlin) who support themselves by dealing blotter acid daubed onto pictures of Ronald Reagan. It doesn't help that Mel finds himself attracted to the very leggy Tina, or that Nancy's head is turned by a bisexual ATF agent (Josh Brolin). Writer/director David O. Russell previously made a splash with his independent debut feature, 1994's Spanking the Monkey. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
