Kelly Osbourne Movies

Kelly Osbourne became a media darling when she began appearing on the candid reality show The Osbournes, a groundbreaking series that followed the antics of her family, headed by her father, heavy metal star Ozzy Osbourne. The show was a massive hit and ran from 2002 to 2005. Osbourne leveraged her notoriety with the series into a recording career, releasing her first album in 2005. In addition to her careers as a musician and TV personality, Osbourne also pursued acting, appearing in the films Live Freaky! Die Freaky and Devour. In 2009, she returned to her reality roots, joining the cast of the popular Dancing With the Stars. She earned good reviews for her work on the short-lived series Life As We Know It, and appeared in the 2011 documentary about her father, God Bless Ozzy Osbourne. ~ Cammila Collar, Rovi

Not be confused with the British sitcom of the same name, ABC's Life As We Know It was produced by the same people responsible for the cult favorite Freaks and Geeks, and based on Doing It, a novel by Melvin Burgess. Set in Seattle, the series endeavored to delineate modern high school life as experienced by a trio of hormone-driven teenaged boys. Sean Faris played central character Dino Whitman, outwardly a sports jock and chick magnet, inwardly a kind, sensitive soul (and one easily hurt and offended, especially when he unearthed an unsavory secret about his parents). Chris Lowell played Jonathan Fields, a shy aspiring filmmaker whose view of life was filtered through the lens of his ubiquitous vidcam. And Jon Foster played Ben Conner, an academic overachiever who never could understand why he was always falling short in the eyes of his hyper-judgmental parents. Also in the cast were Missy Peregrym as Dino's girlfriend, Jackie Bradford, to whom abstention from sex was becoming more of a challenge with each passing day; Jessica Lucas as Jackie's sensible best friend, Sue Miller; Kelly Osbourne as Jonathan's eccentric gal pal Deborah Tynan; Marguerite Moreau as Ben's voluptuous (and available!) English teacher Ms. Monica Young; and D.B. Sweeney and Lisa Darr as Dino's parents, Michael and Annie Whitman. Described by the ABC publicity department as "A show about sex, school, and growing up (not necessarily in that order)," and further described by one media reviewer as "Sex, sex, sex!," Life As We Know It debuted October 7, 2004. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Arguably the most prolific figure in the history of heavy metal music, Ozzy Osbourne has for decades rocked metalheads to their very core. From his earliest days with the legendary Black Sabbath, to his popular solo efforts, to his massive Ozzfest tour featuring some of the most popular musicians of the genre, the notorious Osbourne has made headlines with his outrageous antics and stricken fear into the hearts of parents around the globe. A colorful personality to say the very least, the world would bear witness to an entirely different side of the metal madman when, in early 2002, reality television pioneer MTV debuted The Osbournes. A massive success that garnered the highest rating ever for an MTV premier and would subsequently build viewership ratings to become one of the most successful cable series' ever (even surpassing that of some network series), The Osbournes would breathe new life into Ozzy Osbourne's career and find his popularity soaring to new heights. With the colorful personalities of wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly, one could never be sure of what would happen next on The Osbournes. This wild unpredictability, coupled with storylines often alternating between hilarious, poignant, and surreal, provided viewers with the ultimate peek into the personal life of a celebrity. Though many would subsequently attempt to emulate its success, few would lay claim to the fascinating personalities and unique dynamic that made The Osbournes so captivating. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Fans of The Osbournes were well aware of some significant changes since the end of the first season, and the anticipation leading into season two of the hit MTV series was nearly searing hot by its debut in November 2002. It was no secret that having their lives displayed for the masses had taken its toll on the exhausted family, and for a while it looked as if the series might have run its course. With the July 2002 announcement that Sharon had been diagnosed with colon cancer, all signs pointed to the family foregoing their reality sitcom existence for a more private and personal period. This coupled with a visibly shaken Ozzy announcing that no one would be interested in seeing the family through such dark times made it appear as if the decision had been all but made to pull the plug on The Osbournes. Regardless of the trials that lay ahead, however, the premier family of reality television did indeed return for a second season in late 2002. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

A fascinating and rarely glimpsed peek into the lives of a celebrity family, the first season of MTV's wildly successful reality sitcom The Osbournes would quickly become one of the most successful programs the long-running cable music channel had ever produced. Though his legions of fans knew him well as the self-proclaimed "Crown Prince of F**king Darkness," the first season of The Osbournes proved that Osbourne's off-stage persona was at the very least as colorful as that which he portrayed on stage. While the desire to sneak a peek into a celebrity's personal life was nothing new at the dawn of the new millennium, The Osbournes proved the first program to combine this curiosity with the contemporary trend of "reality television," with sometimes endearing, and often hilarious, results. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
