A seventeen year old media geek becomes the most talked about student in his high school after announcing plans to kill himself on camera as part of his video class' final project. Upon announcing his grim plan, Archie Williams (Gabriel Sunday) is beset by people seeking to save him, imitate him, or simply nudge him over the brink. But as the psychiatrists, doctors, counselors, and even Sierra (Brooke Nevin), the most beautiful girl in school, all attempt to gain a handle on Archie's true intentions, the one-time misfit knowingly ascends the ladder of popularity while capturing every moment of hypocrisy on camera for posterity. Is Archie truly suicidal, or is he simply fascinated by death like the rest of us, and willing to go further than most to explore the dark truths behind one of life's greatest mysteries? David Carradine and Joe Montegna co-star in a dark, romantic teen comedy featuring music by Bright Eyes, MGMT, The Pixies, EELS, Wolfmother, Daniel Johnston, Radiohead, and My Morning Jacket. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Explore the life and career of a musical artist who penned some of the biggest hits of the 1960s before turning his back on fame and completely reinventing himself as a reclusive outsider artist. In the mid-'60s, few bands rose higher up the British pop charts than the Walker Brothers, and as the front man of the group, Scott Walker was constantly in the spotlight. In the years that followed, the American-born Walker would split from the group to establish himself as a successful solo artist while inspiring such popular musicians as David Bowie and Bono. Now, as the release of Walker's 2006 solo album, The Drift, draws near, the existential crooner notorious for not granting interviews allows filmmaker Stephen Kijak to follow along for tantalizing glimpse at one of the world's most enigmatic musicians. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

In 1970, a music aficionado and entrepreneur named Michael Eavis staged a "pop, folk, and blues" festival on a dairy farm in the English community of Glastonbury, not far from Stonehenge. 1,500 attended the "Glastonbury Fayre," and a second festival followed in 1971. By 2005, The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts had grown into the biggest pop music festival in the world, playing host to the biggest names in rock, reggae, electronic, blues, and world music for a crowd of up to 150,000 people over the course of a three-day weekend in June. Filmmaker Julien Temple offers a backstage look at the history of this event, as well as a cross section of the memorable performances which have taken place on the festival's stage in the documentary Glastonbury. Performers featured in archival footage include R.E.M., David Bowie, New Order, Radiohead, Coldplay, the Velvet Underground, Nick Cave, Oasis, Blur, Björk, and many more. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

This episode of South Park involves an irreverent, slightly disturbing tale of revenge. After high-schooler Scott Tenorman repeatedly humiliates Cartman (usually in ways that involve pubic hair), Eric hatches an elaborate plan, involving chili, to humiliate Scott in front of his favorite rock band Radiohead (who, in the tradition of Korn, actually perform their own voice work in the episode). Not for the easily disgusted, "Scott Tenorman Must Die" first aired July 11, 2001. Although it was the fourth episode to air during the show's fifth season, it was actually the first to be produced. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide

Add Meeting People is Easy to QueueAdd Meeting People is Easy to top of Queue
The British rock band Radiohead are an unusually introspective and downbeat group of musicians, which would make them unlikely candidates for international pop stardom. But against all odds, that's what happened to them in the wake of a hit single, "Creep," and press notices that have made them one of the most talked about English groups of the 1990s. In Meeting People Is Easy, director Grant Gee watches the band as they record their third album, the highly acclaimed OK Computer, then head out for an international tour, playing concerts and promoting the record in Europe, Japan, and the United States. Anyone expecting high-spirited hijinks in the manner of This Is Spinal Tap will be quickly disappointed (though anyone expecting high spirits from Radiohead has probably never heard their music). Meeting People Is Easy focuses on the downside of life on the road, as the band is booked into a long series of non-descript arenas, invited to perform on award shows where they clearly feel out of place, and repeatedly answer the same questions from an endless parade of journalists, with lead singer Thom Yorke often seeming to buckle under the strain. Meeting People Is Easy received a brief theatrical release in the United States prior to its bow on home video through the band's American record label, Capitol. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
