Several people offer advice when it looks as though Adrianne (Justine Miceli) is ready for a night of passion with Martinez (Nicholas Turturro). Tracking a suspected serial killer to Atlantic City, Sipowicz (Dennis Franz) goes ballistic when he hears the possible perp's zany "alibi." And when an arrogant surgeon (Richard Kline) is shot, his wife (Karen Austin) does everything she can to implicate the doctor's mistress. George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley) is offended when his wife, Louise (Isabel Sanford), turns down an opportunity for the Jeffersons to host a marriage-enrichment seminar for newlyweds. He is also upset that the hosting chores have gone to his friendly rival, Tom Willis (Franklin Cover), and Tom's wife, Helen (Roxie Roker). In the second episode of Good Times' three-part sixth season opener, J.J. (Jimmie Walker) borrows heavily from neighborhood loan shark Sweet Daddy (Teddy Wilson) to finance the wedding between J.J.'s sister, Thelma (BernNadette Stanis), and football star Keith Anderson (Ben Powers). As the ceremony proceeds, it looks as if the Evans family will have ample reason to celebrate -- especially since Keith is on the verge of signing a lucrative contract with the Chicago Bears. Lamont (Demond Wilson) is sick and tired of his dad Fred's (Redd Foxx) grouchiness in general and hostility toward other minority groups in particular. Hoping to change his dad's attitude, Lamont invites a sensitivity group to the Sanford house. Without going into any further details, let it be said that Fred proves to be challenge of Everest-like dimensions.
