Dina (Shohreh Aghdashloo) and Behrooz (Jonathan Ahdout) successfully convince Navi (Nestor Serrano) that the teen has murdered his American girlfriend. But then the girl's mother (Phyllis Lyons) comes looking for her. Back at CTU, Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) has been busted by Driscoll (Alberta Watson) for secretly helping Jack (Kiefer Sutherland). Driscoll decides not to press charges, but demands Chloe's resignation. On her way out, she tells Edgar (Louis Lombardi), "Good luck today. You're gonna need it." She's right, of course. Marianne (Aisha Tyler) knows that Edgar was secretly helping Chloe, and threatens to tell Driscoll unless Edgar bumps up her security clearance. Driscoll agrees to let Jack run the ground operation, and asks the local cops to back off of Kalil (Anil Kumar), but a couple of patrolmen get the message late, arousing Kalil's suspicion that he's being followed. Once CTU determines the location of the compound where Heller (William Devane) and Audrey (Kim Raver) are being held, President Keeler (Geoff Pierson) authorizes a preemptive laser-guided missile strike to destroy the facility before the terrorists can broadcast Heller's show trial. The marines are on their way, but they won't get to the compound in time, leaving Jack as the only hope for rescuing the two captives. Heller, meanwhile, comes up with his own drastic plan to keep his show trial and execution from going forward. ~ Josh Ralske, All Movie Guide
Divine Intervention lifts the burden of Original Sin from a conservative and devoutly religious North Carolina family, but not everyone in their cookie cutter suburban neighborhood is entirely thrilled with the once-reserved family's sudden about face. The Franklins are your stereotypical Americans, passionless and painfully repressed. Father Frank is a successful lawyer, and mother Betty tends to the home while son Brian is leading the high school football team to victory and daughter Caroline is cheering on the players from the sidelines. Not one of the Franklins is genuinely contented in the roles they play or the façade they put forward, yet they still continue with the same grueling game day after monotonous day. Then, one afternoon, the Franklins are involved in a violent car crash: Frank, Betty, and Brian all lapse into a deep coma as a result of the trauma, yet shaken Caroline somehow manages to escape serious injury. Upon emerging from their collective coma, Frank, Betty, and Brian begin to lead their lives without shame - much to the horror of uptight daughter Caroline. Caroline is completely repulsed by her family's newfound sense of sexual liberation, and the traditionally minded members of their community openly share her sense of deep disgust. It isn't long before tensions in the neighborhood begin to rise, leading to a conclusion that will forever alter the way we perceive small town America. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

The tenth film in Paramount's highly lucrative sci-fi franchise is also positioned as the last for the entire original Next Generation crew. En route to the honeymoon of William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) to Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis) on her home planet of Betazed, Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise receive energy readings identical to those uniquely emitted by the positronic brain of android crew member Data (Brent Spiner). Upon investigation, they discover the disassembled parts of an identical android named B4, an early prototype of Data himself, now scattered on the surface of a remote world. As they reassemble B4, the crew receives word from Starfleet that a coup has resulted in the installation of a new Romulan political leader, Shinzon (Tom Hardy), who claims to seek détente with the human-backed United Federation of Planets. As commander of the closest starship to Romulus, Picard is ordered there to negotiate with Shinzon. Once in enemy territory, the captain and his crew make a startling discovery: Shinzon is human, a slave from the Romulan sister planet of Remus (the residents of which are vampire-like creatures that dwell on the perpetually dark side of their home world), and has a secret, shocking relationship to Picard himself. It soon becomes clear that Shinzon has lured the Enterprise to Romulus using B4 as bait and that his sinister ulterior motives include the destruction of Earth. A vicious battle between the Enterprise and Shinzon's powerful warship ensues, resulting in heartbreaking heroics and a devastating casualty. Star Trek: Nemesis was written by long-time Trek fan and Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan. Regular cast members Michael Dorn, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, and Whoopi Goldberg co-star with Ron Perlman, Dina Meyer, and Steven Culp. ~ Karl Williams, All Movie Guide

A hitherto unknown Crane family heirloom has Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) and Niles (David Hyde Pierce). If authentic, the heirloom will prove that the brothers are descended from Russian nobility. What to do? What else is there to do? Artifact in hand, Frasier and Niles show up on the popular PBS series Antiques Roadshow (or at least, a reasonable facsimile thereof) in hopes of getting to the truth of the matter. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
