Academy Award-nominated actor Alec Baldwin engages beloved screen star Gene Wilder in an intimate conversation about the Producers and Blazing Saddles' star's eventful life and career in this program originally produced for Turner Classic Movies. Recorded at Wavenly House in New Canaan, the discussion includes everything from conversation about the first time Wilder met frequent collaborator Mel Brooks, the experience of being kissed on the lips by Zero Mostel, the wonder of working opposite Lee J. Cobb in a television production of Death of a Salesman, and the experience of working on his Academy Award-nominated screenplay for Young Frankenstein. Additional discussion about Wilder's tragically brief marriage to the late Gilda Radner, his later union to Karen Boyer, his experiences in acting on stage and screen, his semi-retirement, and his experiences writing the popular romantic novel My French Whore offer a well-rounded look at a versatile entertainer who has dedicated his life to making people laugh. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

In 1960, filmmaker Robert Drew began work on a documentary called Primary which concerned that year's presidential campaign; one of the candidates, John F. Kennedy, gave Drew and his crew free access to film both their public campaign events and their private strategy sessions, and it was the beginning of a close working relationship between Drew and Kennedy. Drew would go on to make three more films about Kennedy after he was elected president -- Adventures on the New Frontier, Crisis: Behind a Presidential Commitment and Faces of November -- with the cooperation of Kennedy and his staff, and in 2008 Drew revisited his footage of the late president to create a cinematic portrait of one of the most iconic figures in American politics. Narrated by Alec Baldwin, A President To Remember: In The Company Of John F. Kennedy was edited from Drew's archival footage of Kennedy, and captures the president both at work and with his family, offering an insight into both the leader and the man. A President To Remember: In The Company Of John F. Kennedy was an official selection at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Nearly a decade after impressing audiences at the 1999 Toronto International Film Festival with their engaging coming of age story Goat on Fire and Smiling Fish, filmmakers Derick and Steven Martini return to deliver this period drama following two families whose lives are profoundly affected by complex relationships, real estate woes, and Lyme disease. Set on Long Island in the late 1970s, Lymelife opens to find a suburban community swept up in fear after local resident Charlie Bragg (Timothy Hutton) is diagnosed with Lyme disease. Charlie's tightly-wound neighbor Brenda Bartlett (Jill Hennseey) is determined not to let her gentle fifteen year old son Scott (Rory Culkin) suffer a similar fate, and has taken to duct-taping his cuffs to ensure that he remains Lyme disease-free. Meanwhile, as Charlie convalesces, his wife Melissa (Cynthia Nixon) goes to work for Brenda's philandering husband Mickey (Alec Baldwin), a respected real estate developer. All the while, Melissa remains clueless to the fact that she was hired more out of lust than as a friendly favor to a neighbor in need. For years, Scott has pined after Charlie and Brenda's daughter Adrianna (Emma Roberts), and strangely enough it seems that she's finally starting to return his affections. Tensions are running particularly high in the neighborhood lately, and when Scott's older brother Jimmy (Kieran Culkin) arrives home on leave from the army, his confrontations with his tempestuous father Mickey threaten to trigger repercussions that will affect the lives of everyone involved. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Hopelessly stranded on the remote shores of Madagascar, the New Yorkers hatch a plan to get back to Central Park that instead finds them soaking up sun in the picturesque plains of Africa. Madagascar may be a nice place to visit, but for the gang of animals who spent most of their lives in New York, there is truly no place like home. After discovering the remnants of a crashed airplane, the penguins quickly set about making the repairs needed to get the craft airborne again. When the plane finally takes to the sky, it begins to look like it's only a matter of time before Alex the Lion (voice of Ben Stiller) and friends are soaring over New York Harbor. Unfortunately the penguins weren't the aviation experts they claimed to be, and before long the crew is coming in for a crash-landing in the untamed plains of Africa. Now, as the animals reared in the safety of the zoo come into contact with their decidedly wild counterparts for the very first time, they get a better feel for their roots while marveling over the differences between life in the concrete jungle and life on the world's second largest continent. Of course, while there's plenty to love about wandering the open plains, romantic rivalries and the risk of running into dangerous poachers soon begin to outweigh the joys of some long-overdue family reunions. With some particularly heavy cases of homesickness causing hearts to weigh heavy, the group gradually starts to wonder whether they'll ever find their way back home. Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer, and Andy Richter lend their voices to this animated sequel that re-teams original Madagascar co-directors Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Can a gay character actor find happiness with a disgraced Republican powerbroker? The actor seems to think so, even if no one else does, in this satiric mockumentary. Dan Butler is an actor who becomes the subject of a documentary by Phil Leirness, who's eager to look into the career of one of America's best supporting actors. During an interview, Butler explains to Leirness that he's become fascinated with the career of Republican political strategist Karl Rove, as he's a "supporting player" in the George W. Bush White House but is also one of the most important figures in the administration. Butler decides to create and stage a one-man-show about Rove, but since he knows next to nothing about him, Butler's first step is to start doing some research. The more Butler learns about Rove, the more fascinated he becomes, until he's developed a head-over-heels infatuation with the former presidential advisor, which begins taking both his show and his life down an increasingly strange path, with Leirness along for the ride. Karl Rove, I Love You was conceived, co-written and co-directed by Dan Butler, who cut his teeth as a director helming episodes of the television comedy series Frasier, where he was a regular cast member. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Driven by speculation that planet Earth's average temperature could rise as much as six degrees Celsius by the year 2100, the filmmakers at National Geographic speculate about the effects that each new degree would have on both mankind and the world we live in. By highlighting the effects of global warming on such areas as the Amazonian rainforests and the ice fields of Greenland, experts offer chilling insight into the possibility that man's constant quest for energy could ultimately bring about our downfall. After separating the facts from controversial speculation, the time comes to explore the means by which man could use technology and other methods to try and prevent the planet from overheating. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Award-winning journalist Dan Cox turns his attentions towards filmmaking with this politically-charged documentary exploring the career of the five-time Mr. Universe winner who would go on to conquer Hollywood before being elected as the governor of California. From his early childhood in post-World War II Austria to his days as a prize-winning bodybuilder and star of such films as The Terminator and True Lies, Arnold Schwarzenegger has always reached for the stars. Just when it seemed as if his own sidereal sphere couldn't shine any brighter, Schwarzenegger stunned his critics by winning the special recall election that would place him in charge of the world's fifth largest economy in November of 2003. In the following years Schwarzenegger's film career would take a back-seat to his political duties, yet his sordid past would leave many wondering whether he truly possessed the qualifications to fill such a demanding role, or if he had simply coasted into the high-level position on the trajectory of his former role as an iconic action star. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Director Michael Corrente's coming-of-age comedy drama Brooklyn Rules unfurls in 1985, coincident with the early rise of John Gotti. Three young Brooklyn men of Italian-American heritage -- Michael Turner (Freddie Prinze Jr.), Carmine Mancuso (Scott Caan), and Bobby Canzoneri (Jerry Ferrara) -- make the pivotal, potentially irreversible choices that will determine their directions in life. The boys' periodic run-ins with a sadistic mobster type who rules the neighborhood, Caesar Manganaro (Alec Baldwin), suggest the ever-present option of drifting into a career of crime. On the surface, Michael courageously and doggedly bucks this choice, opting instead for the pre-law program at Columbia and a straight-laced romance with blonde-haired, blue-eyed coed Ellen (Mena Suvari), yet this path is not as antiseptic as it may seem, for he actually scammed his way into the law program. Meanwhile, Carmine idolizes Caesar, and his desire to emulate this thug not only compromises his own moral integrity, but threatens to jeopardize the stability of Michael's life as well by drawing him into a sticky web of criminal activity. While the first two men navigate these treacherous paths, the third friend, Bobby, stakes out safer ground with a low-key job at the post office and married life with his intended. Over the course of it all, the boys' bonds of friendship become stressed and strained given the divergence of their paths. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide

One man bears witness to the secret history of America during the Cold War in this drama directed by celebrated actor Robert De Niro. In 1939, Edward Wilson (Matt Damon) is a young man with a bright future ahead of him -- he's a top student at Yale and the protégé of one of the school's leading English professors, Dr. Fredericks (Michael Gambon). But Wilson's life changes dramatically when he's invited to join Yale's powerful secret society, Skull and Bones. Through his Skull and Bones connections, Wilson meets Sam Murach (Alec Baldwin), an mysterious FBI agent who asks Wilson to investigate charges that Fredericks is a Nazi sympathizer working with the German government. Later, at a Skull and Bones party, Wilson is introduced to Clover Russell (Angelina Jolie), the sister of one of his classmates and the daughter of a powerful politician; their one-night stand leaves Clover pregnant, and Wilson must leave the woman he loves, Laura (Tammy Blanchard), to wed Clover and give their child a name. Shortly after their wedding, thanks to his work with Murach, Wilson is invited to join the Office of Strategic Services, a military intelligence organization organized by Bill Sullivan (Robert De Niro), and Wilson accepts. Through World War II, Wilson serves with the OSS, and learns he can trust no one in the game of international espionage, which helps make him little more than a stranger to his wife, his son, and his few friends. As the OSS evolves into the Central Intelligence Agency after the war, Wilson becomes party to America's darkest and most dangerous secrets, and in the wake of the futile Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961, Wilson is forced to make a terrible choice between the security of his nation and the safety of his family. Inspired by the true-life story of CIA founder James J. Angleton, The Good Shepherd boasts an impressive supporting cast, including William Hurt, John Turturro, Billy Crudup, Joe Pesci, and Timothy Hutton.

Legendary director Martin Scorsese takes the helm for this tale of questionable loyalties and blurring identities set in the South Boston organized crime scene and inspired by the wildly popular 2002 Hong Kong crime film Infernal Affairs. As the police force attempts to reign in the increasingly powerful Irish mafia, authorities are faced with the prospect of sending in an undercover agent or seeing their already frail grip on the criminal underworld slip even further. With the stakes constantly rising and time quickly running out for the undercover cop and his criminal counterpart, each man must work feverishly to reveal his counterpart before his identity is exposed by the other. A young man in need of a fresh start gets one under highly unexpected circumstances in this emotionally resonant comedy drama from writer and director Cameron Crowe. Drew Baylor (Orlando Bloom) is considered the big success story in his family, having moved away from the small Kentucky town where he was born to California, where he works as a designer for Mercury, the nation's biggest athletic shoe company.
