Chilean filmmaker Gonzalo Justiniano directs the coming-of-age drama B-Happy. Manuela Martelli plays fearless 14-year-old Kathy, who lives in Chile with her mother (Lorene Prieto) and older brother (Felipe Rios). Her father (Eduardo Barril) is a criminal who reverts back to a life of crime when he's released from prison. Her family eventually deserts her and she's left on her own. She makes friends with new kid in town Chemo (Ricardo Fernández), escapes from reform school, and works as a prostitute. He admits to sleeping with the wife of his best friend, and that he has carried on with more than a few local housewives. Instead of death, the town creates a more fitting punishment.
