Having recently turned down Prince Yair's somewhat sordid offer to finance "Medellin," Vince catches plenty of grief from the crew as he prepares to move into his new digs at the Mondrian Hotel. Meanwhile, Eric moves in with Sloan against the advice of his friends as Turtle and Drama head out in search of an apartment. Later, Nick Rubenstein's offer to finance "Medellin" with his recently released trust fund falls through, prompting Vince and Eric to bring porno director Walsh into the fold. Though at first it appears that "Medellin" is about to go before the cameras on a shoestring budget, Walsh still has one more surprise in store as Vince raises his glass for a champagne toast. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

A travel agent in deep debt attempts to swindle a by-the-books insurance agent by claiming the corpse of a gangland hit as his long-missing brother in director Mark Mylod's dark crime comedy. Paul Barnell (Robin Williams) is in trouble. Saddled with a cantankerous wife (Holly Hunter) and unable to convince ambitious insurance company agent Ted (Giovanni Ribisi) to pay off the one-million-dollar claim on his brother, who has been missing for five years, Paul's debts are mounting as fast as his life is crumbling. When Paul discovers the corpse of a nameless man who ended up on the wrong side of the mob, desperation drives him to stage a grizzly death scene and make it look as if his brother has suffered a horrible fate. Though the local police force is easily taken by Paul's elaborate ruse, it's going to take a little more convincing before Ted is willing to sign off on the hefty insurance payment. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Britain's satirist-of-all-trades Ali G (aka Sacha Baron Cohen) makes his feature-film debut with this gross-out comedy set against the backdrop of the House of Parliament. Where his British and U.S. TV shows had him conducting absurd interviews with real-life politicians and lawmakers, Ali G Indahouse casts him against Charles Dance as Carlton, an unscrupulous member of the House who's intent on upsetting the current Prime Minister (Michael Gambon) in the next election. Hoping to attract negative attention to the leader, Ali G is promoted as a running mate of sorts -- a tactic that backfires in Carlton's face as the clueless rapper quickly ascends the political ladder. ~ Michael Hastings, All Movie Guide

The satirical British game show Shooting Stars was created by the comedy team of Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, who doubled as the series' hosts. On each half-hour episode, two celebrity teams provided answers to funny and/or ridiculous questions for a grand prize of five pounds. Somewhere along the way, the players indulged in such wacky stunts as throwing cheese slices at pictures of prominent TV personalities, and performing their own off-key nightclub singing acts. Matt Lucas showed up as scorekeeper George Dawes, an overgrown diapered baby. Debuting September 26, 1993 over BBC2, Shooting Stars yielded 32 episodes over a three-year period. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
