An infatuation that's simmered for decades suddenly goes on the boil under very unusual circumstances in this independent comedy-drama. Vince (Joe Narciso), Nick (Nicholas Giordano) and Eddie (Kevin Kash) are three guys who have been close friends since childhood and still hang out together despite the demands of work, wives and kids. All three of the guys had a crush on Laura (Elizabeth Regen), a girl from the neighborhood, but she seemed too beautiful to be available, and they all ended up becoming close friends with her instead of getting involved romantically. When the four find themselves together at a friend's wedding, Laura makes a startling announcement to the guys -- she's been diagnosed with a terminal illness, and before she dies, she wants to sleep with each of them. Vince, Nick and Eddie are all shocked and surprised by the news, and are torn between their desire to fulfill old fantasies, jealousies over having to share Laura with their friends, and the realities that they're all married men who ought to remain faithful to their wives. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Death Row inmate Ray Kaspo (David Meunier) is poisoned to death--45 minutes before his execution. While investigating this curious turn of events, Monk (Tony Shalhoub) is approached by another inmate, former billionaire Dale "The Whale" Biederbeck, whom Monk sent away for murder in the series' fourth episode (formerly played by Adam Arkin, Dale the Whale is now portrayed by Tim Curry). This time out, Dale is suspected of killing Ray, but insists that he's innocent and wants Monk to prove it. This requires our hero to suppress his million-and-one phobias and go undercover as a convict--whereupon he is immediately befriended by the dangerously sociopathic Spyder Rudner (Danny Trejo). This final episode of Monk's second season ends on a cliffhanger, with Monk seemingly poised to solve the long-ago murder of his beloved wife Trudy. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
When the female admissions officer of an extremely exclusive private school is murdered, the detectives are plunged into a world where one's future social status is determined upon getting into the most prestigious school at the earliest possible age. Cell-phone evidence indicates that the murdered woman had plenty of enemies, most of them parents of children who'd been rejected for enrollment. But the key to the solution of the case is in the hands of the dead woman's snobbish employer Wyatt Scofield (Roger Rees), whose high-toned arrogance quickly has the detectives and the lawyers alike contemplating a little mayhem of their own. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Several "wilding incidents" occur during a Hispanic Pride festival in Central Park. When a woman's body is found in the park's lake, the detectives at first believe that she was a victim of random violence. Slowly but surely, however, the suspect field narrows down to those closest to the woman -- especially her very rich and very powerful husband. Due to complaints from a number of ethnic organizations, this episode was withdrawn from the Law & Order rerun package. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
