Edgar (Louis Lombardi) has successfully regained control of all but six of the nuclear reactors. The only way to stop those six from melting down is to find the override device. Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) calls Heller (William Devane) to warn him about the mole inside CTU. They come up with a plan to root out the traitor, but Marianne (Aisha Tyler) successfully diverts suspicion away from herself, and the wrong person is accused of being a spy and is tortured, under Driscoll's (Alberta Watson) supervision, for information. Tony (Carlos Bernard), now unemployed and separated from his wife, takes Jack and Audrey (Kim Raver) to his place, where they view the video Jack got from the security firm, and Audrey recognizes the man she saw at the compound. Jack gets help from CTU D.C. in identifying the man as Henry Powell (Robertson Dean), a former employee of McLennan-Forster, the defense contractor that developed the override device. Jack also learns that Powell has booked a helicopter flight out of town. Behrooz (Jonathan Ahdout) brings Dina (Shohreh Aghdashloo) to a hospital, where a doctor (Hector Luis Bustamante) recognizes that she has a gunshot wound, and notifies the police, forcing the mother and son to flee. ~ Josh Ralske, All Movie Guide
One woman's inability to conquer her appetite for drugs proves dangerous not only for herself but for those around her in this streetwise drama. Alix (Ana Reeder) is a woman living in New York who is fighting a losing battle with heroin and cocaine addiction. Her boyfriend Mark (Christopher Kadish) has grown tired of her dependence problems and forces her to move out of his apartment. With nowhere to go, Alix must fend for herself on the streets, and she supports her habit by stealing. Mark eventually takes pity on Alix and allows her to come back, but she soon overdoses on heroin, and a nervous Mark drags her comatose body out of his flat and into a nearby alley. Digna (Michael Hyatt), a photographer who has had her own problems with addiction, finds Alix and takes her in over the objections of her boyfriend, Anthony (Nestor Rodriguez). Digna tries to help Alix clean up, but Alix is unable to stay on the wagon, and when she falls back into the cycle of addiction, Digna soon follows her. An amalgam of Death Race 2000 and Lost with CGI effects thrown in, the quasi-fantasy action series Drive centered around a strange, exclusive, strictly secret and highly illegal cross-country race, wherein the contestants were all but shanghaied into participating for a winning purse of $32,000,000--assuming they lived that long. The first contestant was Alex (Nathan Fillion), who was desperately searching for his missing wife. A mystical race promoter named Mr. Bright (Charles Martin Smith) lured Alex to Florida by implying that he'd never see his wife again unless he agreed to become a driver. Alex was then teamed with wild blonde Kristin (Corinna Wiles), who acted as if she knew what it was all about. In truth, NO one knew what it was all about--not the woman just released from a hospital, nor the two siblings who were driving a "cursed" Cadillac, nor the paroled criminal, nor the Iraq veteran and his girlfriend, nor the scientist and his teenaged daughter. Though everyone knew that the race began in Florida, none of the racers had the slightest idea where it was headed, nor the remotest clue as to the location of the finish line. And how about the fact that none of the vehicles were actually sports cars? Only one thing was certain: Those who lost the race faced the direst of consequences. As was often the cast in enigmatic exercises of this nature, the course of the race and the backstories of the contestants were revealed bit by bit, episode by episode, on a need-to-know basis. Classmates study various aspects of performance, from dance to songwriting to acting, all of them hoping for the chance to one day become stars. Debbie Allen, Charles S. Everyone seems to be having a Merry Christmas except the people at Seattle Grace. Izzie (Katherine Heigl) can't get into the holiday spirit because she's still p.o.'ed at Alex (Justin Chambers), who for his part is convinced that he'll fail again when he takes his board exams for the second time. Back at the hospital, Bailey (Chandra Wilson) maintains her backbreaking schedule despite her pregnancy; George (T.R. Knight) can't help but feel that his patient's obnoxious relatives are the root cause for her gastric ulcer; and Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Burke (Isaiah Washington) have a theological argument while trying to persuade a 10-year-old to undergo a heart transplant. Especially vexing is the fact that police lieutenant Anita Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkeson) earned her promotion thanks to two of these fraudulent convictions. When an elaborate bank robbery goes horribly awry and hostage negotiations hit a hitch, two men on opposite sides of the law become locked in a violent collision course in this eight-episode Spike TV series. Created by The Negotiator co-scripter James DeMonaco, The Kill Point opens as the disgruntled Gulf War veteran-turned-bank robber Mr. Wolf (John Leguizamo) attempts to take control of a situation that's fast unraveling. As bullets begin to fly and the robbers retreat deeper into the bank, wealthy Lawrence Beck (Tobin Bell) makes it clear that he's willing to pay a tidy sum to ensure the release of his frightened daughter (Christina Evangelista). Meanwhile, Pittsburgh Police Department Hostage Negotiator Horst Cali (Donnie Wahlberg) attempts to negotiate with the increasingly volatile Mr. Wolf. With each passing minute, it seems as if the stress of dealing with both the police and his own men is fast taking its toll on Mr. Wolf's damaged psyche. Bubbles (Andre Royo) has been working as a CI, and Johnny (Leo Fitzpatrick) is not happy about it. He convinces Bubbles to pull a small-time scam. McNulty (Dominic West) get fed up watching Stringer (Idris Elba) and decides to confront the man directly. Stringer tries to sell him a condo, leading McNulty to lament, "You disappointed me, String. I had such f***ing high hopes for us." Later, Kima (Sonja Sohn), watching Marlo (Jamie Hector), makes a discovery that will bring joy to McNulty. Colvin (Robert Wisdom), having failed to get the corner boys to move of their own volition, decides to go over their heads, and eventually has to go to Daniels' (Lance Reddick) unit to find out who the drug lieutenants are in his district. Colvin explains to them that police will only be in the designated locations to prevent violence, and will not arrest them for dealing. He also threatens to crush those who choose to stay on the corners. The cops even end up rounding up customers for the dealers, but Marlo, for one, refuses to play along. Just before Avon (Wood Harris) is released on parole, Baltimore's drug kingpins meet and agree to Stringer's plan to team up to get a better deal from his New York suppliers. Bunk (Wendell Pierce) is developing leads on the double homicide involving Omar (Michael K. Williams), but his superiors again force him to focus on tracking down the missing police weapon. Carcetti (Aidan Gillen) learns about a state's witness who was murdered, and quietly makes his displeasure known to Royce (Glynn Turman), who promises swift action to prevent further such incidents. Director Steve Stockman takes the helm for this semi-autobiographical comedy drama about an estranged family that comes together for one last goodbye, and finds their assumedly brief farewell inexorably dragged out for two excruciating weeks. Aging matriarch Anita (Sally Field) is dying, but before she goes, she has requested that her four grown children travel back home to visit their ailing mother on her deathbed. Eager to gain a better understanding of the dying process, daughter Emily purchases a variety of self-help books on the subject. Though brother Keith (Ben Chaplin) soon arrives determined to float through the process in typical L.A. Zen mode, Emily contends that the only way to be prepared for the future is to consider every detail that can go awry. When PR executive Barry arrives intent on getting some work done before death comes knocking, it appears as if he is more concerned with getting broadband Internet in the house than actually tending to his mother. Meanwhile, youngest brother Matthew sets at the sidelines biding his time as his unlikable wife, Katrina, callously speculates on which of the dying woman's luxurious jewels she will be inheriting. Now, as Anita begins to look back at her life while reflecting on the time spent with her family, the question of who will hold this family together once she is gone casts a melancholy shadow over her fond memories. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Carlos (Manny Perez) is a talented artist who draws comics for a living. He's desperate to move out of his Washington Heights neighborhood. His girlfriend, Maggie (Andrea Navedo) feels more connected to the neighborhood. She's not so eager to leave. Carlos's best friend, Mickey (Danny Hoch), works as a super in the building his father owns, but he dreams of being a professional bowler. He's scheming to raise three grand to enter an open tournament in Las Vegas. Carlos's father, Eddie (accomplished Cuban-born actor Tomas Milian, who starred in Michelangelo Antonioni's Indentificazione di una donna), owns a neighborhood grocery store, and is well-liked in the neighborhood for his friendly way of doing business. Despite his advanced age, he's also a ladies' man, and was so even before Carlos's mother passed away. His philandering ways account for a lot of the tension between father and son. Carlos wants to draw his own comic book, but his boss, David (David Zayas) tells him that while he's got technical ability, his work is soulless. But Carlos's plans for the future are disrupted when Eddie is shot and critically wounded during a robbery at the store. Carlos resentfully takes care of his ailing father, and runs the store until Eddie can go back to work. Carlos's growing understanding of his community, and his father's importance to it, is reflected in his work, and he has a creative breakthrough. Meanwhile, Mickey's moneymaking schemes get him into trouble with Angel (Bobby Cannavale), Maggie's gangster brother. Washington Heights was directed by Alfredo De Villa, who wrote the script with Nat Moss. Novelist Junot Diaz (Drown) wrote additional dialogue. A woman worn down by life's battles is institutionalized following a nervous breakdown and finds love under the strangest circumstances imaginable in director Ellie Kanner's humorous romantic drama. Letty Mayer is a beautiful young teacher whose boyfriend is a successful attorney and whose family has always been decidedly close knit. Despite the perfection of surface appearances, however, all is not well in Letty's turbulent mind. Letty's sister is about to get married and the pressure of the impending nuptials has the single sibling more than a bit overwhelmed. After suffering a nervous breakdown, Letty is institutionalized. There, surrounded by the white walls and well-intending doctors, Letty strikes up a warm relationship with charming schizophrenic Michael - who is no stranger to institutionalized life.
