Tom Cairns directs the psychological comedy drama Marie and Bruce, adapted from the play by Wallace Shawn. Set over a period of 24 hours, the black comedy involves the troubled marriage of neurotic New Yorkers Marie (Julianne Moore) and Bruce (Matthew Broderick). What follows is a bleak psychological study of the breakdown of a modern relationship. Also starring Griffin Dunne and Campbell Scott. Musical score by Mark de Gli Antoni of Soul Coughing. Blue the Dog (from the popular children's TV series Blue's Clues) stars in her first full-length musical adventure. Blue (voice of Traci Paige Johnson) and her master Steve (voice of Steve Burns) are putting on a show in their backyard, but suddenly Tickety Tock the Clock (voice of Kelly Nigh) loses his voice, leaving poor Blue without a singing partner. This children's program is a great combination of live-action and computer-animated characters. Blue, the adorable bright blue puppy dog with floppy ears, helps her friend Steve play games and learn about their environment by leaving him clues. Steve uses his notebook to record all the clues -- great memory and logic skill-builders for children. An autistic youth dies while in custody, leading Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Logan (Chris Noth) to investigate the clinic where the victim was being treated. The clinic's head, Dr. Alan Colter (Lawrence Pressman), has been known to use radical and possibly illegal therapies on his patients, most of these "treatments" involving electric shock. The D.A. office's efforts to tie Colter together with the victim's death are complicated by the lack of cooperation from the parents of Colter's patients. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
