The fates of a Mexican woman sold into sexual slavery, a car thief seeking to go straight, and a Japanese assassin converge on the streets of New York City in director John-Luke Montias' complex crime drama. Lured to New York from Mexico with the promise of a stable restaurant job, Olivia (Jessica Pimentel) finds herself imprisoned in an inner-city bordello and forced into prostitution. She's under the thumb of Albanian pimp Milot (Stivi Paskoski), who has recently dethroned a Chinese mob boss named Eddie Chang (Clem Cheung). Chang is none too pleased to see Milot encroaching on his business, and hires Japanese hitman Tomo (Jun Suenaga) to take care of the competition. Meanwhile, gullible car thief Joey (Montias) bickers with his uncle Jack (Gene Ruffini) about the best way to go legit, and Olivia finds herself in hot water after attacking her latest john, a crooked cop, in a moment of unbridled rage. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

A rock singer dies of an apparent drug overdose. The detectives and lawyers determined that what appears to be an accident is actually murder, possibly perpetrated by a disenchanted cohort of the deceased. Further complicating the case is the omnipresence of detective-turned-bestselling novelist Mike Foster (Tony Lo Bianco), who is hard at work on a tell-all book about the dead woman's former husband. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Still frustrated by the unsolved Watson murder, Bayliss (Kyle Secor) and Pembleton (Andre Braugher) are in no mood to tackle the murder of a police dog -- but they must, since the Baltimore municipal code dictates that any police killing in the line of duty must be given first priority. Meanwhile, Howard (Melissa Leo) and Felton (Daniel Baldwin) go after a sadistic drug dealer who has ritualistically murdered his victim -- and in so doing, they find a link to a case being handled by Lewis (Clark Johnson). And on the domestic scene, Bolander (Ned Beatty) meets the teenage son (Stiv Paskoski) of his current amour Dr. Carol Blythe (Wendy Hughes); and Crosetti's (Jon Polito) wife is pregnant. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Havoc reigns supreme at a diabetes clinic where several patients suddenly die or go into a coma at an alarming rate. The detectives trace this disastrous situation to a hacker that has invaded the clinic's computer system. Then things take a surprising turn when a vengeance-driven blind man emerges on the suspect list. Without revealing any further cogent plot points, it can be noted that guest star Dana Elcar was legally blind in real life. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
