Director Gavin O'Connor collaborates with Narc director/screenwriter Joe Carnahan on this family-focused police drama concerning an honest homicide detective (Edward Norton) assigned to investigate the precinct run by his potentially crooked older brother (Noah Emmerich). As the investigation begins to reveal some troubling facts about the precinct, it gradually becomes apparent that the policeman who is also the older brother's best friend (Colin Farrell) may be the man orchestrating many of the suspected crimes. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

On September 11, 2001, the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center cost the lives of hundreds of New York firefighters. Among these were 22 members, past and present, of the FDNY football team, the pride of the National Public Safety Football League. With nearly half the team gone, dozens of firefighters who had previously lacked the time or the inclination for gridiron activity volunteered to fill the gap. The story came to a remarkable conclusion nearly one year later, during the annual game between the FDNY team and their traditional rivals from the NYPD. The Bravest Team: The Rebuilding of the FDNY Football Club may have been a documentary, but it packed the emotional punch of such classic TV movies as Brian's Song and Something for Joey. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

- Pete Moog, Tony Narducci, (more)
