George (T.R Knight) tells a mother that her son has been found safe so she would agree to undergo surgery--and now must conduct a frantic search for the boy. And while trying to mollify the victims' families, Alex forms an unusual bond with an unidentified pregnant woman (Elizabeth Reaser) who has sustained mulitple injuries. Elsewhere, It is revealed that the talented Dr. Sloan (Eric Dane) has not only been dallying with Addison (Kate Walsh), but also with Callie (Sara Ramirez); Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) decides to call it quits with Finn, and later teams with Addison to separate a divorced couple (Arye Gross, Faith Prince) who have become embarrassingly "stuck on each other"; and Izzie (Katherine Heigl) is still recovering from the news that Denny has left her $8.7 million. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Knight) threatening to move out of Meredith's house unless she meets his demands. Back at work, the staff deals with such patients as a competitive hot dog eater (Natalie N. Okamoto) suffering from what may be a terminal case of hiccups; a rock guitarist (Donovan Leitch) who loses several fingers; a woman (Jill Holden) whose drug treatment makes her abnormally cheerful; and an elderly lady (Carole Cook) who stubbornly refuses to leave after being discharged (as usual, George is stuck with this one!) The plight of being the parents of an emotionally disturbed youngster was eloquently addressed in the three-part British miniseries Kid in the Corner. Written by Tony Marchant, the series starred Douglas Henshall and Clare Holman as Alex and Theresa Letts, mother and father respectively of hyperactive boy Danny Letts (Eric Byrne). As Danny's behavior becomes less predictable and more destructive, Alex and Theresa try to curb the boy first with therapy, and then prescription drugs -- all to no avail. Their inability to cope with or control Danny's sickness has a negative effect on their "normal" daughter, Lucy (Brooke Kinsella).
