Not having led the most exemplary of lives, Brooks is not permitted to enter Heaven until he performs a good deed on earth. Thus, he endeavors to rescue a young mother, Annie Campbell (Erika Eleniak), and her seven-year-old daughter, Marissa (Nickol Tschenscher), from the gangsters who have torn their family apart. One of several Mary Higgins Clark adaptations produced in Canada for the PAX network, He Sees You When You're Sleeping first aired on December 22, 2002. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

E! Entertainment's debut original TV production is an over-the-top depiction of Hollywood decadence and desperation. Five down-and-out women vie for a major award. The five include a drugged-out indie queen; a plumy British actress with a womanizing director for a husband; a porn star looking for a legit turn; an African-American chanteuse whose career is on the skids; and a lipstick lesbian with a wily publicist. The plot twists when a body turns up and all five are suspects. ~ Jonathan Crow, Rovi

This made-for-TV drama concerns a troubled young man (played by Eric Johnson) who murdered both his mother and grandmother in a desperate bid to get his hands on the family's fortune. Scorn examines both the young man's grisly crimes, and his curious, emotionally detached history prior to the events. The film was based on the true story of Vancouver, British Columbia, multiple murderer Darren Huenemann, who spoke with the screenwriters and reviewed their work in an effort to make the film more realistic. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

One certainly can't fault the casting in this made-for-TV biopic. After all, who better to play the title character than Ann Jillian herself. Dwelling very briefly on Jillian's early years as a child actress and her return to the limelight via the Broadway hit Sugar Babies, the film concentrates on her courageous comeback following her bilateral mastectomy in 1985. Tony LoBianco costars as husband-manager Andy Murcia, while Viveca Lindfors and George Touliatos portray her immigrant parents. Equal parts entertainment and inspiration, The Ann Jillian Story was originally telecast January 4, 1988. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The cuddly pastel-colored Care Bears are back for a third feature film with their friend Grumpy. This time around, they have persuaded Alice to return with them to Wonderland. There, she must pretend to be a princess who has been kidnapped by the Evil Wizard. While many of the characters from Wonderland (such as the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat) make appearances, so do characters from the Grimm fairy-tales, The Wizard of Oz, and many more fables. After being thoroughly treated to the ministrations of the loving bears, a little girl finds some much-needed self-esteem. ~ Clarke Fountain, Rovi

Produced for the HBO Cable service, Act of Vengeance reenacts the 1969 murder of United Mine Workers leader Jock Yablonski. Yablonski (Charles Bronson) virtually writes his own death warrant when, after a "safe" mine collapses and 80 miners are killed, he rebels against the incumbent UMW boss Tony Boyle (Wilford Brimley) to campaign for presidency of the union. Boyle gets the word out that one less Yablonski in the world would be preferable. Yablonski is depicted as being fully aware of the danger he faces in challenging Boyle--and is supported in his decision by his courageous wife (Ellen Burstyn). Based on the book by Trevor Armbrister, Act of Vengeance premiered on April 20, 1986. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Once again, it's horror on a college campus. The difference between this and other entries in the slice-n-dice genre is that bloodflow is minimal and most of the horror occurs off-screen. That is not to say that there are no queasy acts of violence though. Set just before April Fools Day, the story centers on a trio of sorority pledges who attend a dance held at a haunted frat house where two decades before a pledge lost his head in a hazing gone awry. During the party, the dead frat boy rises up from his gravesite (located in the backyard), takes over the body of one of the girl pledges and embarks upon an evening of bloody, inventive revenge using a variety of tools that include but are not limited too garden utensils, electric wires and even a guillotine. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

Aimed primarily at the youngest viewers, this second "Care Bears" movie once again takes the characters from the popular line of children's toys and builds a storyline around them. This time, the story centers on a pending disaster at a children's summer camp where the nasty Dark Heart is bent on creating divisions among the happy campers by introducing them to such unpleasant concepts as selfishness, jealousy, and other common foibles. Up on the Great Wishing Star in the sky, True Heart Bear and Noble Heart Horse take it upon themselves to head into the camp and defeat Dark Heart and his negative influence. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

In this third installment of the slapstick comedy series about novice police officers with less than dubious abilities, two police academies have to compete with each other in order to stay in business. The state's skinflint governor claims he has less money to spread around, so one of the police training academies is going to be axed. Commandant Lassard (George Gaynes) calls back some of his former recruits to train the new batch of students, hoping to get the edge on the rival academy. Among the newcomers are brassy Cadet Zed (Bobcat Goldthwait), who is a former gang leader, and his roommate Cadet Sweetchuck (Tim Kazurinsky). Sweetchuck is a wimpy noodle whose Clint Eastwood impersonation is one of the film's most honestly funny moments. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
