When two Australian slackers learn that their favorite television soap star is about to get the axe, they set out on a determined mission to save her career and keep the show from being cancelled by any means necessary. Jeffrey and Philip (Angus Sampson and Nathan Phillips) have been friends since childhood, and despite having aged they both remain locked in a perpetual cycle of arrested development. Loath to even utter the work "work" and obsessed with the daytime television drama "Sons of Surf," Jeffrey and Philip spend most of their days playing practical jokes on one another in their suburban trailer park. When an escaped convict is discovered hiding in a barn by two young children, he convinces the kids that he is a ghost while learning an important lesson in paying penance for his crimes. Witt Hampton was a convicted embezzler sentenced to year behind bars for his greedy transgressions. Eventually, Witt grows tired of prison life and stages a daring escape. Later, while seeking refuge in an old barn, Witt is discovered by two young boys. In order to avoid being sent back up the river, the frightened convict convinces the kids that he is actually a friendly ghost, and soon joins them on a series of fantastic adventures. Eight-year-old Justin Morton (Spencer Breslin) gets a birthday present he never expected while visiting Australia with his mother (Rachel Hunter). Thanks to the work of two dimwitted thugs, Tank Emerson (Ralf Moeller) and Buzz Maroni (Peter Rowley), a walking, talking, sunglasses-clad koala named Ozzie ends up in Spencer's backpack instead of the highly realistic stuffed koala he was expecting. It seems that the devious Maxine Happy (Joan Collins) has learned of this magical animal's existence among a peaceful tribe of aborigines and wants to clone the koala to make a fortune for her company "Happy Toys." Furious over Ozzie's escape, Happy sends her two bumbling henchman to recover her prize. This leaves Spencer no choice but to try and get Ozzie back "down under" using every trick and gadget he can muster. ~ Scott St. Clair, All Movie Guide

A handful of kids buck the odds to make something of themselves in this comedy drama for the whole family. Mario (Chauncey Leopardi) is a boy in his early teens who has been looking forward to spending the summer on a camping trip with his father (Beau Bridges). But when dad lands a new job just as school lets out in June, their plans are put on the back burner, and Mario is sent to San Francisco to spend his vacation with his aunt. Still angry about this turn of events, Mario begins hanging out with a group of neighborhood kids who like to play basketball. With the guidance of a friendly priest, the pickup team begins to cohere into something with real potential, and in time, the gang of misfit teens are underdog contenders in a citywide youth basketball tournament. Playwright Tyrone Atkins lost a promising career in theater and film -- as well as his home, his belongings, and (for a time) his freedom -- when he became addicted to crack cocaine. After conquering his habit, Atkins used his experiences living on the streets as the basis for this story about a group of homeless addicts attempting to hold on to the last shreds of their dignity. Cody (Thomas Jefferson Byrd) was once a respected jazz musician, but after getting hooked on crack, Cody abandoned his wife and son and now lives in a makeshift hut in Los Angeles's MacArthur Park. Cody scrapes up enough money to feed his habit through petty crime and acting as a go-between for more privileged users willing to pay a premium to him rather than hunt down hard-nosed dealer Freddie (B-Real). Cody's friend Blackie (Miguel Nunez) gets along in much the same way, but he finds himself in hot water after he takes off with the money of downwardly mobile TV actor Steve (Balthazar Getty), who gave him a handful of cash to score drugs for him. Cody is forced to take a long look at his responsibilities when he's confronted by his son Terry (Brandon Adams), whom he hasn't seen in years; Cody also runs into Karen (Rachel Hunter), once a fellow addict, who wants him to know there is a way out of the cycle of addiction. MacArthur Park's supporting cast also includes Julie Delpy, Lori Petty, Ellen Cleghorne, David Faustino, Sticky Fingaz, and Sydney Tamia Poitier, while R&B star Macy Gray contributed to the soundtrack; the film was enthusiastically received in its screenings at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

In a sterling example of heeding your mother's warning about not talking to strangers, soft-bellied yuppie Tom Williams (John Ritter), his striking wife Gina (Rachel Hunter), and their kids are abducted while on vacation at a Southern California amusement park by the unctuous Mr. Eddie (Eric Roberts) and his colorful henchmen. After several sequences demonstrating how awfully sincere Mr. Eddie is about slaying the family, and with the rest of the clan duct-taped in the back of a van, Tom escapes -- but is at a loss as to how to pull off a rescue. Love, sex, fidelity, and the nearly endless variety of complications they can bring are played for laughs in this sophisticated comedy. Alan (Robert Mailhouse) is driving home on a dark and rainy night when he sees an attractive woman standing by the side of the road. He stops and offers her a ride; she accepts and immediately offers him fellatio for his troubles. Though Alan is married and has never cheated on his wife, he's not sure how to say no in this instance, but he doesn't get much of a chance to enjoy infidelity before he's interrupted by the police -- who inform him he's picked up a prostitute and he's under arrest. Several days later, Alan is trying to figure out how to get his wife Laura (Alison Eastwood) to take him back. His buddies Danny (Jonathan Silverman) and Brent (William Ragsdale) chide him for his naivete and advise him to stick by the old rationalization that oral sex isn't really sex. Meanwhile, Laura heads out for a night on the town with her friends Ally (Kimberly Williams) and Terianne (Jessica Lundy). Laura is thinking that adulterous turnabout might be fair play, Ally is mulling over her secret fantasy of becoming an exotic dancer, and Terianne is looking for a man who can help her with her problems in reaching an orgasm. Building upon the popularity of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, this video takes the viewers behind the scenes of the issue's many photo shoots for a glimpse at several of the world's top models. Following the standard "behind the scenes" format, the camera acts as a portal into the erotic world of half dressed women sprawled out on sandy beaches, giving the viewer a more in depth view of what went into producing the Swimsuit Issue magazine. It features an explicit view of models Angie Everhart, Rebecca Romjin, Stacey Williams and Daniela Pestova; as well as voiced over interviews from members of the photo shoot crew and the models that teamed up for the 1995 issue. Many of these interviews discuss how the location of the shoot was picked, the effort it took to capture the "one" shot and how the models were made to look so good.
