A dark cloud of death descends upon a small town when a swarm of genetically modified wasps take to the sky in this sci-fi shocker featuring A Nightmare on Elm Street star Robert Englund. Devin Hall (Sebastien Roberts) has seen his fair share of hostile insects. An exterminator who specializes in ridding the world of household pests, Devin gets the fright of his life when he witnesses a homeless man attacked by a swarm of particularly aggressive wasps. Convinced that something sinister is afoot, the rattled exterminator enlists the aid of new Deputy Sheriff Jane Kozik (Sarah Allen) and associate professor of entomology Katherine Randall (Jayne Heitmeyer) in stopping the swarm before it gets stronger. Later, when Jane's curious daughter Kelsey strikes up a conversation with eccentric wasp keeper Eli (Englund), an already troubling situation becomes absolutely terrifying. It seems that the mutant wasps are turning their victims into drones. Is there any hope of stopping this government-created weapon before everyone in Black Stone becomes human incubators for the next wave, or has the initial swarm already grown too powerful to defeat by conventional means? ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Lea Thompson is both star and director of this made-for-cable movie, another entry in the Hallmark Channel's series about a suburban housewife who leads a double life as a government agent. Not long after he is fired from the staff of a billionaire cereal-company mogul, former Central Security Agency operative Jim Monroe (Dorian Harewood) is found floating in a lake, the apparent victim of an accidental drowning. Suspecting foul play, CSA head Frank Darnell (Joe Penny) prevails upon his former colleague Cathy Davis (Lea Thompson) to investigate. Assuming her CSA identity as "Jane Doe", Cathy quickly deduces that Monroe was killed 48 hours before his alleged drowning. There's only one problem with this theory: Monroe was seen on a nationally telecast interview at the exact time of his death! In her efforts to crack the case, Cathy must once again delicately balance her high-risk espionage activities with her "normal" marriage to the long-suffering Jack Davis (William R. Moses). Jane Doe: The Harder They Fall was first seen on March 4, 2006. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Cross' business partners included a brace of "young renegades," Mackenzie Previn (Karen Cliche) and Gabriel Patterson (Jesse Nilsson), both of whom encountered a great deal of difficulty remaining fully clothed.
