Martin (Ray Walston) needs to lose a just a little bit of weight to fit into his spacesuit. Unfortunately, Tim (Bill Bixby) flips the wrong switch on the weight-loss machine, which promptly shrinks Martin's spaceship to the size of a toy. Worse still, the teeny-tiny vessel is carried off by a dog and ulimately retrieved by a toy manufactuer, who plans to mass-produce the item and make a fortune. Martin and Tim conduct a desperate search for the spaceship--but how will they find the real one amidst all those duplicates? Dianne Foster guest stars as attractive librarian Phyllis Marsh, who to bring culture to the folks of Hooterville and Pixley sets up a travelling library in the baggage car of the Hooterville Cannonball. One of Phyllis' most devoted customers is Uncle Joe (Edgar Buchanan), who has taken quite a shine to the woman despite the vast differences in their ages. Los Angeles Dodgers manager Leo Durocher appears as himself in this episode. Mr. Drysdale arranges for Jed and Jethro to play golf with Durocher, but when the Clampetts show up at the course, Leo the Lip assumes that they're caddies. The story goes off on a new tangent when Jethro demonstrates a dynamite pitching arm. Best gag: Jed and Jethro "changing in the locker." In this classic episode, Beaver (Jerry Mathers) is en route to Gilbert's house while his folks are having a party. Suddenly, Beaver and Gilbert (Stephen Talbot) are attracted by a huge, three-dimensional billboard, depicting a woman holding a gigantic, steaming bowl of soup. Anxious to find out where the steam is coming from, Beaver climbs up the billboard -- only to become stuck in the enormous soup bowl!
