David Hasselhoff Movies
Actor David Hasselhoff first built up a fan following on the daytime TV soaper The Young and the Restless, where from 1975 through 1982 he played Bill "Snapper" Foster. He graduated to Prime Time as crimefighter Michael Knight on the fantasy actioner Knight Rider; this one lasted from 1982 to 1986. With his American career in temporary doldrums after Knight Rider's cancellation, Hasselhoff took advantage of his fluency in the German language to establish a phenomenal successful singing career in Europe. It is likely that nothing has brought him as much professional satisfaction as his Berlin Wall concert, an event that drew 500,000 spectators. In 1989, Hasselhoff signed on for another TV series, the initially unremarkable adventure weekly Baywatch. Few people need to be reminded of David Hasselhoff's success in this last endeavor: as of this writing, Baywatch is the single most popular television series in the world, beaming out to an estimated audience of one billion viewers. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide- Starring:

Fans of the old Baywatch TV series take heart. Despite all evidence to the contrary, legendary lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (David Hasselhoff) was not killed in that explosion during the series' final season. Instead, he has been suffering from amnesia for the past three years, and has now re-emerged from the shadows with a stunning new fiancée in tow. The lovely Allison bears an astonishing resemblance to Mitch's long-dead sweetheart, policewoman Stephanie Holden -- as well she may, since Allison is also played by the series' Alexandra Paul. Virtually all of the old Baywatch regulars gather together for the lavish wedding of Mitch and Shannon in Hawaii, little suspecting that Allison is actually in league with an old enemy of Mitch's who has set his cold, black heart on a horrible revenge. Is there anyone in the wedding party who will step up and rescue Mitch from certain doom? Perhaps his ex-wife Neely Capshaw (Gena Lee Nolin), or the still beautiful, incredibly pneumatic Casey Jean Parker (who else but Pamela Anderson)? The sort of TV-movie fare for which sweeps weeks were invented, Baywatch Hawaiian Wedding made its Fox network debut February 28, 2003. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Robert Louis Stevenson's story is adapted for modern theater in 2001's Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical starring David Hasselhoff in the leading dual role. This video is a recording of an actual performance at Plymouth Theatre on Broadway, shot with several high definition video cameras from various angles. Hasselhoff portrays both the genius Dr. Jekyll and the notorious Mr. Hyde from the original Stevenson tale, as two sides of a single human psyche playing out encounters with goodness versus evil in the midst of love and mental confusion. This adaptation incorporates a pop twist on the musical numbers, where Hasselhoff is afforded the opportunity to incorporate his experience as a television actor with his vocal recording background. ~ Sarah Sloboda, All Movie Guide

The commodification of rock culture lies at the heart of Christopher Wilcha's video diary about his tenure working at mail-order music store Columbia House. Set in the early '90s, when the grunge boom was just taking off, the film opens with Wilcha's final concert with his band -- followed by his reluctant job hunt. He lands a position at Columbia as an assistant manager, believing that the job would entail little more than being a gofer. Viewed by his superiors as a link to the burgeoning underground scene, Wilcha is pushed into positions of higher and higher responsibility. Later, he naively reorganizes the catalog to include alternative music thinking that his efforts would undermine the company. In fact, it merely gives the corporation a convenient handle to market this new music. This film won top honors at the 2000 Slamdance Film Festival. ~ Jonathan Crow, All Movie Guide

Based on the popular Marvel Comics franchise, the made-for-TV Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD stars David Hasselhoff in the title role. Having retired from active duty upon the end of the Cold War, war veteran and secret agent Col. Nick Fury squirrels himself away in his Yukon retreat. Meanwhile, enemy organization Hydra is taken over by the progeny of Fury's perennial enemy, ex-Nazi Baron Von Stucker.
