Neil Patrick Harris and Matthew Lillard star in writer/director Craig Singer's violent tale of rehabilitation gone horribly awry. When high school student Arnold Mosk (Neil Patrick Harris) is busted for using drugs, he's immediately placed in an experimental isolation program known as "The Animal Room." "The Animal Room" is a rehabilitation center where the rules of normal society don't apply, a kind-of lawless clubhouse inhabited by the most dangerous and disturbed youth imaginable. When Arnold shows up in "The Animal Room," sadistic gang leader Doug Van Housen (Lillard) immediately targets the frightened newcomer for torment. Doug is the kind of kid who's just too far gone to care what society thinks of him, and he places precious little value on human life. Should Arnold remain in "The Animal Room" he will almost certainly die. Made for television, The Christmas Blessing is a sequel to the earlier CBS holiday offering The Christmas Shoes, with Rob Lowe briefly reprising his portrayal of Robert Layton, a lawyer whose life was forever changed by a pair of "enchanted" shoes. This time around, the shoes have passed into the hands of Tucker Bennett (Shaun Johnston), the son of a seriously ill youngster named Charlie (Angus T. Jones. As fate would have it, Charlie is a student of schoolteacher Meghan (Rebecca Gayheart), who is endeavoring to set up a day-care center for single moms in the small town where she lives. At the same time in the same town, young medical resident Nathan Andrews (Neil Patrick Harris), his self-confidence shattered by the death of a teenage patient on the operating table, has returned home to work in the garage owned by his dad Jack (Shaun Johnston). In due course, Nathan meets Meghan and Charlie, and becomes intimately involved in the trials and tribulations of both, leading to an emotional climax in which Nathan must decide whether or not to summon his dormant medical skills to save Charlie's life. Singers NewSong and Blake Shelton appear as themselves, respectively performing the title song and the new composition "Nobody But Me". Inspired by Ron and Judi Barrett's beloved children's book of the same name, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs follows inventor Flint Lockwood (voice of Bill Hader) and a brainy weathergirl (voice of Anna Faris) as they attempt to discover why the rain in their small town has stopped, and food is falling in its place. Meanwhile, lifelong bully Brent (voice of Andy Samberg) relishes in tormenting Flint like he did when they were kids, and Mayor Shelbourne (voice of Bruce Campbell) schemes to use Flint's latest invention -- a device designed to improve everyone's lives -- for his own personal gain. Although 16-year-old prodigy Doogie Howser (Neil Patrick Harris) is America's youngest physician, he still has a lot to learn in the maturity department, as amply demonstrated during Season One of Doogie Howser, M.D.. Doing his appointed rounds as second-year resident at Eastman Medical Center in L.A., Dr. Howser has earned the (sometimes grudging) respect of Chief of Services Dr. Canfield (Lawrence Pressman), fellow resident Dr. McGuire (Mitchell Anderson) and Nurse Spaulding (Kathryn Layng), in his own home our hero is generally treated like the shy, awkward youngster he truly is, especially by his strict but loving mom Katherine (Belinda Montgomery). While Doogie can rely upon his doctor father David (James B. Sikking) to keep him abreast of the latest advances in medical science and technology, his main conduit to his "own" world--that is, the world of pimply-faced, hormone-driven teenagers--is his best pal Vinnie (Max Casella),who regularly delivers reports from the high-school front in his weekly visits to Doogie via the bedroom window. The pilot episode firmly establishes the strange dichotomy in Doogie's life, as he passes his driver's exam and enjoys his first kiss with girlfriend Wanda (Lisa Dean Ryan) while struggling to cope with a tragedy involving a young, critically ill patient. The eternal inner struggle between Doogie the typical teen and Doogie the boy genius is further illustrated in the famous episode wherein he and Wanda are out on a date when she suffers a sudden appendicitis attack--and he is forced to give her a rather intimate examination just before she undergoes emergency surgery (this is the one in which a jealous Vinnie asks Doogie: "Did you put your hand on her conundrum?") One of the more fascinating first-season episodes is "Use a Slurpy, Go to Jail", in which Doogie and Vinnie find themselves in the middle of a botched convenience-store holdup. The ill-tempered gang member who tries to pull off the heist is one Raymond Alexander, played by Markus Redmond. Season Three proves to be a year of transition on Doogie Howser M.D.. Figuring that he has reached his majority at age 18, child prodigy Doogie Howser (Neil Patrick Harris), America's youngest practicing physician, decides to move out of his family's house and into a bachelor apartment, sharing the digs with his best pal Vinnie (Max Casella), who is now attending college as a film major. While Doogie is still fond of his teenaged sweetheart Wanda (Lisa Dean Plenn), she has left town to attend art school and as such is largely incommunicado. As a result, Doogie drifts away from Wanda, transferring his affections to attractive nurse Michele Faber (Robyn Lively)--with time out for a lengthy relationship with a woman named Cecilia, who "forgets" to inform him that she has a 4-year-old son. And in another development, Doogie finds himself short one colleague when his fellow resident Dr. McGuire leaves his post at LA's Eastman Medical Center. While most of the Season Three episodes maintain the series' delicate balance of comedy and drama, several are played strictly for laughs. Case in point: "Mummy Dearest", wherein Doogie and his fellow physicians ruminate over the possibility of being cursed as they examined the remains of a centuries-old mummy! On a more serious note, the episode "My Father, My Self" details a schism in the relationship between Doogie and his doctor father David (James B. His two goals: getting accepted into the Evil League of Evil, and working up the guts to speak to his laundromat crush Penny, played by Felicia Day (The Guild). The only thing standing in his way is Captain Hammer, Billy's superhero arch-nemesis played by Nathan Fillion (Firefly). With one big score, Billy could get into the E.L.E. and earn the respect of Penny, but only if he can keep her away from the dashing Captain Hammer...

Directed by Danny Leiner, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle follows the life-changing (and mind-altering) journey of Korean-American investment banker Harold (John Cho) and Indian-American medical-school candidate Kumar (Kal Penn). Both underdogs, Harold and Kumar decide to spend what would have been an otherwise uneventful Friday night satisfying an oddly intense urge for White Castle hamburgers. However, finding a White Castle proves a highly difficult task, and the two friends wind up on an epic road trip of deep thoughts, deeper inhaling, and enough half-baked, politically incorrect philosophizing to outweigh a White Castle value meal. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide

Munch (Richard Belzer) is convinced that a student has committed suicide. Brodie (Max Perlich), however, thinks that the boy's death was caused by his drug-dealing classmate Alan Schack (a decidedly cast-against-type Neil Patrick Harris) -- and Brodie ends up risking his life to prove this theory. Elsewhere, Bayliss (Kyle Secor) and Kellerman (Reed Diamond) suspect that two recent bombings are linked to their longtime nemesis, drug kingpin Luther Mahoney. A walk down the aisle, unemployment and an unexpected crush factor into the fourth season of this buddy comedy. Viewers continually wonder if Ted's current conquest becomes the titular mom, and this season, it looks like he may have hit pay dirt. The relationship between Ted (Josh Radnor) and Stella (Sarah Chalke) moves forward when she accepts his proposal, made at the end of Season 3. As they get closer to the altar, they trip a few times: They realize they know little about each other after Stella ends up in the ER because of Ted's cooking; she expects him to move in with her after the wedding, but her Garden State address inflames ardent New Jersey-hater Ted; and his pals stage an intervention over their concerns about his nuptials. The wedding itself has a bad vibe. After Stella's sis backs out of her own wedding, Stella and Ted assume her plans, but it all goes south...bad vegan food? no booze? exes on the guest list? Just as frustrating is the employment picture for the gang. Ted, Marshall (Jason Segel) and Robin (Cobie Smulders) find themselves out of jobs. Marshall takes it the hardest (and finds his "underpants radius" expanding), Ted considers striking out on his own, while Robin goes to the ends of the Earth -- literally, Tokyo -- to find work. When that doesn't pan out, she faces deportation...until Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) creates an awesome video resumé for her. The most surprising turn of events is the revelation that Barney has a heart. He admits to Lily (Alyson Hannigan) that he's in love with Robin, and the usually sleazy Barney becomes flustered and jealous around his crush. Oh, but he still beds other women. In other developments: The gang searches for the best burger in NYC with Regis Philbin; the Naked Man offers an offbeat way to "close the deal" on a date; and Barney reveals his secret family. ~ Sue Tuttle, All Movie Guide

In the first episode of a two-part story, several Justice League members are whisked off to an alternate reality, reappearing in Seaboard City, a town that seems permanently locked in the 1950s. Here the Leaguers meet their counterparts, the Justice Guild of America -- all of whom resemble the "Golden Age" versions of DC Comics' familiar superheroes. The League and the Guild team up to thwart the doppelgangers of the "real world's" villainous Injustice Gang, here known as the Injustice Guild. Throughout the action, J'onn J'onnz (The Martian Manhunter) continues receiving psychic messages indicating that what appears to be happening may not be happening at all! ~ All Movie Guide
