An angry John Cooper (Bo Hopkins) decides to take the law in his own hands when his pal Jim (James Garner) is beaten and his sister Gail (Laurie Jefferson) is raped by members of the Rattlers motorcycle gang. Harking back to his own leather-jacket days as a member of the Vincent Black Shadow gang, Coop takes his cycle out of mothballs and goes undercover to exact vengeance against Rattlers leader Willie Green (Paul Koslo). Meanwhile, Jim has recovered sufficiently to chase after Coop in hopes of preventing him from committing cold-blooded murder. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
In one of his first acting roles, Arnold Schwarzenegger is typecast as professional bodybuilder Josef Schmidt. Anticipating Arnold's earliest, villainous film appearances, Schmidt is dangerously sensitive to criticism of his chosen profession--a sensitivity that leads inexorably to murder. Who'd have thought back in 1977 that Schwarzenegger would one day forsake the Streets of San Francisco to take up residence in the gubernatorial mansion in Sacramento? ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Donna Mills guest stars as Bernice Rawson, a small-time crook with big-time aspirations. Latching onto an ex-convict who wants to go straight, Bernice talks him into pulling off one last heist--a jewelry robbery that is all but guaranteed to bring down the full wrath of the FBI. In the original TV Guide listings, much was made of the fact that Donna Mills was playing a villainous role in stark contrast with her "good girl" characterization in Play Misty for Me; Knots' Landing, of course, was still several years in the future. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Generally cast as a villain in such series as the F.B.I., Richard Kiley is herein seen as the victim. Kidnapped by three homicidal extortionists, pediatrician Herbert Barth (Kiley) manages to break free and escapes into the wilderness. The rest of the episode is a variation on the old "Most Dangerous Game" theme, as Barth is hunted down like an animal by expert marksman James Vaughn (Jerry Ayres). This episode was filmed on location in the forests of Utah and Washington State. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
A fugitive from the FBI, Frank Welles (Steve Ihnat) has also been marked for death by a Mafia hitman. Despite the danger involved, Welles makes a stopover in San Diego, intending to wreak vengeance against the man whom he holds responsible for the death of his best friend's daughter. Thus, Inspector Erskine (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) is placed in the position of protecting not only Welles but also Welles' intended victim. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
In their efforts to arrest an injured burglary suspect, Officers Malloy (Martin Milner) and Reed (Kent McCord) encounter resistance in the form of a rampaging street gang. Elsewhere, the two cops are summoned to an apartment house, where the residents are up in arms over a rather unusual family "pet"--a full-grown lion. The guest cast includes Art Metrano, a comedian on the verge of stardom by virtue of his classic "bad magician" routine. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Michael Callan guest stars as Harry Springer, an otherwise honest salesman who becomes an amateur extortionist. Actually, Springer's intentions are honorable: He intends to save his brother from a trumped-up murder charge by putting the heat on Alexander York (Simon Scott), prosecution witness whom Harry suspects of being the real killer. Unfortunately, Springer gets in way over his head--and as a result, it's likely that not even Inspector Erskine (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) can save the salesman from a Mob rub-out. In a rare TV appearance, film favorite Laraine Day is cast as the murder suspect's wife. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
A murder occurs near a controversial job-training center, but the FBI does not arrest the primary suspect due to lack of evidence. This doesn't matter at all to the local citizens who have long resented the presence of the center and its "undesirable" trainees. Several of them have already found the suspect guilty in their own minds and are aching for the opportunity to mete out their own brand of justice--and unless Inspector Erskine (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) acts in a hurry, that's just what they will do. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Somehow or other, the Germans have found the location of Stalag 13's escape tunnel. To locate the weak link in their underground security system, Hogan, LeBeau, and Newkirk must break out of camp -- and then back into camp -- without arousing Klink's suspicions. Susanne Cramer appears as Eva. Scripted by David Chandler, Jack H. Robinson, and Laurence Marks from a story by Chandler and Robinson, "The Flame Grows Higher" first aired on April 22, 1966. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Familiar character actor Jan Merlin plays Erich, the sole survivor of a German squadron that has been wiped out by Saunders (Vic Morrow) and his men. Vowing retribution, the wounded Erich goes into hiding, grabs his weapon, and begins picking off Saunders' squad one by one, saving the sergeant for last. Ultimately only Saunders and Littlejohn (Dick Peabody) remain standing--and it doesn't look like they're going to live through the ordeal. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
