Blockbuster action director Michael Bay delivers a striking look at a strange world of the future in this sci-fi action drama. Midway through the 21st century, Lincoln Six Echo (Ewan McGregor) lives in a confined indoor community after ongoing abuse of the Earth has rendered most of the planet uninhabitable. One of the only places in the outside world still capable of sustaining life is an idyllic island where citizens are chosen to live through a lottery. Or at least that's what Lincoln and his fellow citizens are taught to believe; the truth is that Lincoln, like everyone he knows, is actually a clone who is kept under wraps to provide needed organs when the person who supplied his or her DNA falls ill. When he becomes aware that his existence is a fraud, Lincoln escapes to the outside world with a fellow clone, Jordan Two Delta (Scarlett Johansson), though the powers that be are determined to see that no one gets away alive. A psychiatrist confronts a new client whose problems may not be all in his head in this drama. Dr. Ty Adams (Michael Beach) is a well-known psychiatrist who has earned no small amount of controversy for his blunt and "anti-medicinal" approach to treatment. Adams is also dealing with some emotional problems of his own after the death of his wife and child. Parker (John C. McGinley), a documentary filmmaker, has arrived at the hospital where Adams works to make a movie about his work, just in time for Adams to start working with a new patient -- a mysterious and angry fellow known only as "The Man" -- who insists he is Satan (Eriq LaSalle). The new patient is not easily convinced that he's delusional, and as he becomes a greater disruptive force, Adams can't help but wonder if maybe the stranger is telling the truth. Crazy as Hell was directed by actor Eriq LaSalle, who plays the new patient and is best known for his work on the television series E.R.; it was his first theatrical feature, after helming the made-for-cable Rebound. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

First telecast on January 26, 2000, "Virtuoso" centers around the modest singing talents of the Doctor (Robert Picardo). The Voyager is visited by representatives of the technologically superior, and extremely arrogant, Qomar Race. Finding out that the Qomars have built their culture on strict mathematical values, the Doctor decides to introduce the concept of music to the planet. So overwhelmed are the Qomar that the Doctor finds himself embarked upon a successful concert tour, idolized by millions. Pressured by the government to seek out new technologies, O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) and the SG-1 team head to a planet inhabited by the Fenri, who have mastered the power of invisibility. Miraculously, the SG-1 crew is revived by the Nox, the peaceful, fairylike former inhabitants of the Fenri's planet, who have the ability to bring the dead back to life. Tess (Della Reese) serves as counsel for the defense when farmer Justinian Jones (John DeLancie) brings about a class-action lawsuit--against God. Speaking on behalf of his neighbors in a dying, drought-stricken South Dakota community, Jones holds the Almighty totally responsible for their plight, and demands immediate "payment" for their undue suffering. Perhaps inevitably, Monica (Roma Downey) is called in as an expert witness, but even this does not resolve the crisis. A gay councilman is murdered, leading detectives Logan (Chris Noth) and Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) to question such "probables" as the dead man's roommate, Joe Gibb (Michael Lichtenstein), and a married man (Robert Joy) with whom the decedent might have had a brief affair. When the investigation narrows down to Councilman Kevin Crossley (Daniel Hugh Kelly) who, despite his outspoken homophobia, insists that he was a good friend of the victim, an outraged Logan completely loses his cool.
