This action film about a Vietnam vet and his fight against corruption in a small town is a variation on Final Mission by Cirio Santiago. Deke Porter (Richard Hill) gets a call from Elaine, his good buddy Marty's wife, who tearfully asks him for help because Marty has died in an automobile accident. Once he arrives in town, Deke is set upon by the local citizens; marijuana growers who want their business kept quiet. In an amusing spoof on the world of film aficionados and scholars, novice director Heiner Stadler has come up with a clever story of film intrigue and deception, all in the name of saving face. The chain of events begins with an ambitious film critic sitting in on a screening of a 1920s movie during the 1984 Berlin Film Festival. This sparks his interest, so when a film projectionist tells him about the long-lost director Bobo Wawerka who actually made the 1920s film but mysteriously disappeared from view after leaving for Hollywood -- the budding film critic decides he has to investigate the fate of the unrecognized Bobo. Armed with the knowledge given him by the projectionist that Bobo's last-known work was making the fist of King Kong in that famous movie, the aspiring researcher takes off on funding cajoled from the editor of a film journal. The credibility of this story is enforced by some chicanery on the part of the projectionist, and the young reporter next wings his way to Hollywood -- where he finds out the truth: there never was any Bobo Wawerka, period. But now what can he do to save his reputation? Interspersed with cameos by film professionals such as Wim Wenders, a well-known Hamburg film exhibitor, and producer Bernd Eichinger, this parody has a little added punch.

The A-Team is hired by Judy Rogers (Judy Strangis), the cousin of a pilot who has been arrested by the Feds in Venezuela for smuggling cocaine from Colombia. It turns out that the pilot was an innocent go-between for drug kingpin Winston Corliss (Anthony Charnota), who so long as he remains in Colombia will be immune from prosecution. Adopting a wide (and wild) variety of disguises, the A-Team heads South of the Border to execute a daring plan whereby Corliss and his minions will be lured into the clutches of the authorities. This of course means that plane-o-phobic B.A. (Mr. T) will be forced to fly--and this is where Judy Rogers' skills as a hypnotist come in handy! ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Several movie genres collide head-on in Android. Klaus Kinski plays a slightly cracked scientist, working in solitude on a remote space station. Kinski is hoping to develop a race of humanlike robots, the prototype of which is Max. 404 (Don Opper). He is interrupted by a coed gang of space-hopping escaped convicts. One of the cons, the lovely Brie Howard, falls in love with Max. 404, and he with her. The android's less attractive traits are exhibited when he jealously attempts to destroy female robot Kendra Kirchner. Though there's no budget to speak of, Android is one of the more likeable second-echelon sci-fiers of the 1980s. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

In this made-for-TV film, a screenwriter (Robert Wagner) begins writing the biography of the dead movie queen who had a brief affair with his father.
