Based on the best-selling books by Catherine Marshall, the original TV series Christy focused on 19-year-old Christy Huddleston, an idealistic schoolteacher who left a life of wealth and comfort behind to accept a job in the backward mountain community of Cutter, NC, in 1912. First telecast as a two-part, four-hour PAX Network miniseries on May 13 and May 14, 2001, Christy: Return to Cutter Gap picks up where the weekly series left off. Lauren Lee Smith replaces Kellie Martin as Christy, while Stewart Finlay-McLennan repeats his series role as the community's agnostic, Scottish-born doctor Neil McNeill. In part one of Return to Cutter Gap, titled "A Change of Seasons," the year is 1913, and Cutter Gap is in the throes of a deadly typhoid epidemic. The superstitious mountaineers believe that the illness has been brought on by such "outsiders" as Christy Huddleston and the community's new minister, Rev. David Grantland (James Waterston). Dr. McNeill realizes that the real cause of the epidemic is Cutter Gap's brackish water and squalid living conditions, but he is unable to convince the locals of his findings. Meanwhile, Christy suffers a crisis of faith when one of her closest friends dies of the fever, and on another front, she finds herself romantically torn between McNeill and Grantland. Part two, "A New Beginning," takes place three months later. This time, the community is literally torn apart by a raging storm. As the rest of the citizens head to the highest point in Cutter Gap, Christy and Dr. McNeill are stranded in a tiny hunter's shack. Shocked when McNeill declares his love for her, Christy rushes into the deluge, contracting a deadly fever. Also complicating matters is the presence of attractive aviatrix Harriet Quimby (Claudette Mink), who has apparently set her cap for McNeill. The story concludes with a wedding -- but which man does Christy choose for her life partner? A seventeen year old screw up enters into a profitable partnership with a serious minded girl whose fiscally irresponsible mother may have just destroyed her chances of becoming a doctor in this romantic comedy starring Anton Yelchin, Eva Amurri, and Susan Sarandon. Dorian (Yelchin) is a rebellious teen from a wealthy background. Tired of bailing their son out of trouble time and again, Dorian's parents have finally decided to ship him off to live with his uncle for the summer. Once there, Dorian lands a job at a local water park and strikes up a friendship with the slightly older Grace (Amurri). The complete opposite of Dorian in everyway imaginable, Grace is a straight-A student who aspires to become a doctor, and who's spent the majority of the past six years looking after her little sister Taylor (Willa Holland) following their father's suicide. Grace's mother Rhonda (Sarandon) is a haggard force of nature who sees herself as a martyr for the sacrifices she's made to keep her family together after an earth-shaking tragedy, though in reality may have just cost Grace a future in medicine by taking out credit cards in the young girl's name and neglecting to make payments. In order to go to college Grace will need financial aid, but with numerous maxed out credit cards to her name that's next to impossible. Upon learning that she'll need to raise $12,000 in twelve weeks in order to cover tuition, Grace prepares to kiss her dreams for the future goodbye. Fate soon intervenes, however, when Dorian informs Grace that he's decided to deal pot in order to become financially independent from his parents. In order to turn a profit Dorian needs to expand his territory, and in order to expand his territory he'll need a car: Enter Grace. Realizing that she'll never make the money she needs working at the water park, Grace agrees to enter into a temporary partnership with Dorian. But while their business endeavor proves wildly profitable at first, things quickly start to unravel for the ambitious pot-dealers when Grace and Taylor discover a secret about their father's suicide, and Dorian summons the courage to tie up some loose ends from his distant past. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

It has been 12 years since the meteor shower which all but devastated the rural Kansas community of Smallville in 1989. On that fateful evening, the parents of little Lana Lang were killed; Lex Luthor, son of billionaire business mogul Lionel Luthor (John Glover), was rendered totally bald; and on the farm of Jonathan and Martha Kent (John Schneider, Annette O'Toole), a spaceship landed, bearing a child from the planet Krypton. Now it is 2001: Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) is the high school homecoming queen; swinging bachelor Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) is in charge of his father's local fertilizer plant; and the alien child who crash-landed on the Kent farm has been raised as the couple's own son, Clark Kent (Tom Welling). Aware that their adopted son is possessed of awesome powers far beyond those of mortal men, Martha and Jonathan have raised Clark in a virtual cocoon, prohibiting him from participating in any sort of contact sports; as a result, the boy has the reputation of a gawky nerd, and is extremely self-conscious and full of trepidation about his place in the world. A female detective on the trail of a psychotic killer discovers love in a dangerous time in this thriller, based on the novel by Michael Pye. Illeana Scott (Angelina Jolie) is a special agent with the FBI who has a reputation for using offbeat methods, but also boasts a strong record as a criminal profiler. Scott is called in by a former Quantico colleague (Tcheky Karyo) to assist two Canadian police detectives, Paquette (Olivier Martinez) and Duval (Jean-Hugues Anglade), who are on the trail of a serial killer who has been doing business in and around Montreal for close to two decades. The murderer has a history of assimilating many aspects of the lives of his victims after he kills them, but there's been a witness to his most recent crime. Art gallery owner James Costa (Ethan Hawke) saw the killer during an assault, and now finds himself working as an only marginally willing decoy for Scott. As Scott and Costa follow the killer's trail, they find themselves becoming attracted to one another, which is not necessarily a comfort to Scott as she finds her quarry moving closer and closer. Paul Johansson's The Incredible Mrs. Richie stars Gena Rowlands as the title character. The film stars Kevin Zegers as Charlie Proud, a young man on the path to juvenile delinquency. Having had enough of Charlie's troublemaking, school principal Mr. Dewitt issues the boy an ultimatum. Charlie must begin working for Mrs. Richie or be expelled from the school. Inspired by the themes of Steven Soderbergh's Academy Award winning 2000 film of the same name, Traffic: The Miniseries focuses on a group of people involved in the highest levels of illegal trafficking; dealing with the sale and trade of chemicals, weapons, and even people. DEA agent Mike McKay (Elias Koteas) goes missing in Afghanistan while at home, his son treads dangerously close to addiction. Meanwhile, different storylines follow Fazal (Ritchie Coster), whose wife and child die during illegal transport to the US, and Ben (Balthazar Getty), whose father's shipping company is being used to transport illegal immigrants into the country.
