Vivien Cardone Movies
Born in Port Jefferson, Long Island, in April 1993, actress
Vivien Cardone was home-schooled for her first nine years and subsequently moved with her family to Utah, where she attended private Christian school.
Cardone stepped in front of the cameras well before her 10th birthday, on the heels of her 19-month-older sister (a commercial actress from the age of 1 1/2), with commercial work for brands such as Sears, Pillsbury, and Pizza Hut, in addition to a veritable blizzard of public service announcements. Eventually, the two girls (one four years old, and one five) headlined a Disney video series designed for sale in Asia to help Asian children learn English. Though her sister abandoned acting indefinitely,
Vivien opted to stick with it and struck out on her own, prestigiously so, as the young niece of schizophrenic mathematician John Nash's (
Russell Crowe) roommate in the
Ron Howard-directed Best Picture winner
A Beautiful Mind (2001).
Cardone then switched venues and made an equally strong impression on the small screen, as Delia Brown, Dr. Andy Brown's only daughter, on the WB network's gentle series drama
Everwood. The ingénue landed one of her first starring roles as a preteen struggling to contend with the sudden death of her mother, who finds unexpected help from a cute puppy and several kindly strangers, in the gentle family-oriented drama
All Roads Lead Home (2008). ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

Inspired by a true story, director Dennis Fallon's emotional family drama tells the tale of a family attempting to cope with a tragic loss, and a young girl who finds the strength in the last place she ever expected. Twelve year old Belle (Vivien Cardone) has just lost her mother in a horrible auto accident, and she places the blame for that loss squarely on the shoulders of her grieving father Cody (Jason London). Unable to deal with his daughter's newfound rebellious streak and contend with his own sorrow at the same time, Cody sends Belle away to live with her grandfather Hock (Peter Coyote), a genuine cowboy who lives by a strong code of ethics. But Hock is unable to look at Belle without thinking about his deceased daughter, a sad fact that only deepens the young girl's intense feelings of alienation. Just as Belle begins to feel as if there's no one in the world with whom to share her sadness, along comes a loyal pup named Atticus that helps her to focus on the positive things in life. Perhaps with a little help from a kindly veterinarian, an empathetic farm manager, and a good-humored motel owner, this family will finally find the strength needed to move past their pain while building a joyous new life together. Patton Oswalt co-stars in a drama also featuring the final onscreen appearance of legendary actor Peter Boyle. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

As a world-class neurosurgeon, Dr. Andrew Brown is a hero. As a father, he's a zero. But that is changing. Tragedy makes him a single parent to his two children. And as the first act of his new life, Andy leaves Manhattan and moves his family to Everwood, the tiny Colorado town where big dreams can grow. The relationship between Andy and his talented but resentful 15-year-old son Ephram forms the heart of these 23 first-season episodes of Everwood, the acclaimed, richly layered series created by Greg Berlanti (Dawson's Creek). Treat Williams plays Andy, learning parenting on the fly as he raises Ephram (Gregory Smith) and 9-year-old Delia (Vivien Cardone). Unafraid to tackle big issues, spiked with sharp humor and filled with engaging characters, Everwood is a place and a series that rewards each visit you make.

The true story of prominent mathematician John Forbes Nash Jr. is the subject of this biographical drama from director Ron Howard. Russell Crowe stars as the brilliant but arrogant and conceited professor Nash. The prof seems guaranteed a rosy future in the early '50s after he marries beautiful student Alicia (Jennifer Connelly) and makes a remarkable advancement in the foundations of "game theory," which carries him to the brink of international acclaim. Soon after, John is visited by Agent William Parcher (Ed Harris), from the CIA, who wants to recruit him for code-breaking activities. But evidence suggests that Nash's perceptions of reality are cloudy at best; he is struggling to maintain his tenuous hold on sanity, and Alicia suspects a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. Battling decades of illness with the loyal Alicia by his side, Nash is ultimately able to gain some control over his mental state, and eventually goes on to triumphantly win the Nobel Prize. Based loosely on the book of the same name by Sylvia Nasar, A Beautiful Mind (2001) co-stars Paul Bettany, Adam Goldberg, Anthony Rapp, Christopher Plummer, and Judd Hirsch. ~ Karl Williams, Rovi
