In the now-famous final episode of Farscape, a chance remark by John Crichton (Ben Browder) precipitates a full-scale Scarran invasion of Earth. The only hope for salvation is the utter destruction of the wormhole, a drastic action which John is not all that keen on undertaking. Meanwhile, the duplicitous Scorpius (Wayne Pygram) exploits John's uncertainties in order to forge yet one more unholy alliance. Will the Earth be rendered vulnerable and helpless? And what of the relationship between John and Aeryn (Claudia Black)? During a standard commerce exchange, the duplicitous Dominar Rygel XVI (Jonathan Hardy) steals an important component of Moya -- only to be "stolen" himself by a band of Tavlek pirates. More out of concern for the component than for Rygel, crew members Crichton (Ben Browder), Aeryn (Claudia Black), and D'Argo (Anthony Simcoe) formulate a rescue plan. Unfortunately, the Tavlek have the added advantage of an adrenalin-enhancing drug -- which, in turn, has bizarre side effects on Moya's crew. Easily (if somewhat too glibly) describable as "The Terminator in drag," the futuristic made-for-TV drama Chameleon revolves around a female cyborg killing machine at large in the year 2028. Designed expressly to destroy all enemies, the robotic Kam (Bobbie Phillips), who can change her appearance at will and is virtually unstoppable, abruptly and unexpectedly develops maternal feelings. The object of her compassion is Ghen (Eric Lloyd), the young son of the leader of a liberation movement that the dictatorial government is doing its best to eliminate. Despite orders to kill every member of the movement, Kam instead dedicates herself to saving Ghen from his evil human pursuers. First telecast October 23, 1998, on UPN, Chameleon later spawned a handful of direct-to-video sequels. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

A couple looking for their dream home discover they've moved into a nightmare instead in this psychological thriller. Peter (John Adam) and Julie (Rebecca Gibney) are a husband and wife who've done well in business and are looking to buy a new home. They find a cozy place in an excellent neighborhood which is going for a very reasonable price because the house needs to major renovation on the inside. Peter and Julie are briefly taken aback when the learn about the history of the house -- the elderly woman who last lived there died in the house and her husband vanished under mysterious circumstances -- but they decide to take the place anyway. However, while stripping the walls for new paint and paper, they discover a strange and troubling stain on one wall, in the shape of a man trying to crawl up to the ceiling for safety. Even more alarming, Peter's personality begins to shift, and Rebecca wonders if the spirits of the previous tenants have claimed control of the body of her husband. 13 Gantry Row was originally produced for Australian television; Mark Wareham's excellent camera work received an award from the Australian Cinematographers Society in 1999. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
