When talented pianist Ji-ho experiences a stage fright so intensely profound that she can no longer perform before a live audience, she returns to her hometown and quickly connects with her former classmate Sung-ryong - a once-promising student who suffered a tragic accident that seriously diminished his mental capacity. As a child Sung-ryong was unusually bright, but now he's in his late twenties and possesses the mind of a six year-old child. Even after the accident Sung-ryong never forgot about his childhood love Ji-ho, and these days the only thing that matters more to him is his younger sister Jee-in. By day Sung-ryong tries to raise the money needed to raise his sister by selling toast outside of her school, embarrassing Jee-in to the point where she no longer acknowledges her well-meaning but hopelessly dim brother. But there is one person who seems to understand Sung-ryong better than anyone else, and that's his lifelong friend Sang-soo. Later, when Sang-soo falls in with some dangerous gangsters, Ji-so continues to suffer psychologically, and Jee-in falls hopelessly ill, the man with the mind of a child solves all of their problems in a way that no one could have foreseen. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

In this offbeat comedy from South Korea, Cha Tae-hyun stars as Nam Hyun-soo, a former teen idol turned radio talk show host, whose life turns an unusual corner when a young single mother named Jung-nam begins sending very personal stories to the radio station, with requests that Nam broadcast them. The stories pertain to her father, whom she has never before seen, and when listeners catch wind of these tales, they help turn the show into one of the most popular programs on the air. Circumstances grow darker and more sinister, however, when Jung-nam turns up at the station and Nam's house, with her 7-year-old son Gi-dong in tow - insisting that Nam Hyun-soo himself is her father. The claims ultimately threaten to damage Nam's public image and end his career. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide

Written and directed by Lee Han, Yeonae Soseol (Lover's Concerto) explores the occasionally overlapping boundaries between love and friendship. When Lee Ji-hwan (Cha Tae-hyun) receives a series of strange photographs in the mail, he is reminded of meeting two teenage girls five years beforehand. He had initially fallen for Shim Su-in, but his advances were rejected. Relatively unphased, he remained friends with Su-in and her friend Kim Gyeong-heui (Lee Eun-ju) for the rest of the summer holiday. Eventually, Ji-hwan and Gyeong-heui developed feelings for one another, but both were reluctant to admit it. Through flashback and the listening ears of Ji-hwan's friend Cheol-hyeon (Park Young-woo), the young man struggles to define the former trio's complicated relationship. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide

This frothy romantic comedy from Korea begins with Kyun-woo (Cha Tae-hyeon), a ne'er-do-well college student, meeting a very drunk girl (Jeon Ji-hyeon) on a subway platform. After he helps her onto the train, she promptly vomits on another passenger's head (twice) and then passes out. Since everyone else in the train car assumes that she's his girlfriend, he carries her to a hotel room to sleep it off. Another series of mishaps brings a police raid while he's in the shower, and thus begins a wild roller coaster rise of a relationship. The rest of the move has her putting him through a battery of often humiliating tests to prove his love. Near the end a revelation about her past briefly drives them apart, but a twist of fate brings them together for a happy ending. ~ Tom Vick, All Movie Guide
