This film is a '90s version of the classic Robin Hood story, with Kevin Costner starring as the good-guy thief. Costner is joined in his efforts against the murdering Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman) by Morgan Freeman who plays a philosophizing Moor, and by Nick Brimble, who plays Little John (anything but little). After Robin barely survives a watery skirmish with Little John, the two become allies and Robin joins forces with Little John's band of robber thieves to overcome the evils of the dastardly Nottingham sheriff. ~ All Movie Guide

Chimera was originally produced for Britain's BBC television network. The title creature is a half man, half ape (Douglas Mann), the product of a hush-hush government project. Journalist John Lynch gets wind of the experiment when his girlfriend dies in a fertility clinic explosion. At the center of things is a mad-as-a-hatter scientist, whom the government continues to protect until it's almost Too Late. Christine Kavanaugh costars in this new twist on the old Frankenstein story. Chimera premiered in the US over the A&E Cable service on November 1, 1992. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
In a series of character studies, director Cathal Black tells the story of Jimmy (Jimmy Brennan) and the people who end up living with him. After Jimmy, who is gay, leaves prison looking for a way to survive in the world, he finds an abandoned house in Dublin and settles in. Before long, others join him, including a pimp, a con man, and a drug pusher. At times poignant and perceptive, this short film lacks any real narrative and either for that reason or because of its length, goes no further than sympathetically examining these socially displaced people. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide
