One man is forced to go back to the dangerous life he struggled to leave behind in this action-thriller. Dirk Longstreet (Oliver Gruner) is a man who learned to fight and fight well, and put that talent to use in the most punishing environment imaginable. Longstreet was lured into "the Circuit," a private (and illegal) fighting club where spectators will bet fortunes on no-holds-barred battles in which two men fight until they simply can't go on -- often until one of the fighters has died. Longstreet was one of the very few men who not only fought in the Circuit and lived to tell about it, but managed to move on and build a new life for himself. Longstreet joined the faculty of a college, where he enjoyed working with athletes, until he learned that his younger brother, Jeremy (Ilya Morelle), had been recruited to become the Circuit's newest fighter. Detectives Tarek Richards (Jalal Merhi) and Linda Masterson (Cynthia Rothrock) stumble onto a plot to reincarnate three ancient Chinese martial arts masters by the cunningly evil martial artist/magician Stryker (Loren Avedon) to help him gain control over New York City's seedy gangster-ridden underbelly. Stryker is successful in his supernatural efforts, and the trio of super-powered chop socky wizards go on a rampage through Chinatown, terrorizing citizens at every turn. This lively low-budget action movie is packed with martial arts, sexy sirens, and a sci-fi plot involving computers and virtual reality images that become real. The tale centers on two Nevada border officers, Dave Quarry (Don "The Dragon" Wilson) and John (Ken McLeod), who amuse themselves off duty by honing their kickboxing skills via virtual reality combat. Elsewhere, a computer tycoon prepares to market his company's latest invention, a combination of DNA and virtual reality that creates beings and creatures who look and feel real. The first two "cyberplasmic" creations are beautiful and sexually eager women, Lana and Greta. Meanwhile back in the lab of cyberplasmic creator Dr.Lawrence Cameron, Dante, the hero of a newly engineered game, manages to free himself and enter the outside world. A vicious fighter, he also wants to free his many horrific enemies and pals. In this loose sequel to the earlier film No Retreat, No Surrender, young martial artist Scott (Loren Avedon) now living in Thailand, he has a Vietnamese girlfriend whose wealthy father would strongly disapprove of their liaison. When she is kidnapped after one of their dates, Scott seeks to rescue her. Enlisting the aid of his arms-dealing buddy Mac (Max Thayer) and pilot friend Terri (Cynthia Rothrock), he sets off into the jungles of Southeast Asia to confront the kidnappers. He confronts renegade Soviet front man Yuri (Matthias Hues), and the bad guys get their comeuppance in the usual scenes of martial arts mayhem, spiced with plenty of machine gun fire and explosions. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide
