Gary Grimes is best remembered for his film debut in which he played the callow Hermie opposite
Jennifer O'Neill's older, more sophisticated Dorothy in The Summer of '42 (1971). He appeared in several more films of the '70s, including
The Culpepper Cattle Company (1972) and
