Inspired (so the producers claimed) by the hit comedy film The Wedding Crashers, this zany reality show featured five improvisational performers who hired themselves out to betrothed couples wishing to make their weddings not only memorable but downright unforgettable. At the request of the bride and groom, the performers "crash" the wedding disguised as caterers, waiters, ministers, guests etc. The object was to see how far the actors could push the envelope as they disrupted the ceremony with weird costumes, spilled food, inappropriate comments, gratuitous insults, crazy dance steps and other such folderol, all captured by the obligatory hidden camera. At the end of each episode, the performers revealed who they really were, whereupon the members of the wedding party presumably either fell down laughing or chased the miscreants out of the house. Among the series' producers was comic actor Ashton Kutcher, late of That 70s Show. The weekly, 60-minute Blade: The Series was inspired by the popular Blade action-movie trilogy, which in turn was based on a Marvel Comics character introduced in the 1970s. Rap star Sticky Fingaz, billed under his (sort of) real name, Kirk "Sticky" Jones, starred as Blade, a half-human, half-vampire immortal warrior engaged in an endless battle against demonic and supernatural villains on behalf of humanity (Wesley Snipes was, of course, seen as Blade in the original films). Neil Jackson co-starred as Blade's perennial nemesis, Marcus Van Sciver, a handsome, charismatic vampire bent on world domination, while Nelson Lee was seen as Blade's weapons-savvy, wise-ass sidekick, Shen. New to the franchise was the character of Krista Starr (Jill Wagner), who teamed up with Blade to avenge her twin brother's death at the hands of Marcus Van Sciver, who in addition to his nocturnal bloodsucking also held court over a well-organized cartel of fellow vampires. Boasting a pilot scripted by executive producer David S. Goyer and comic-book veteran Geoff Johns, Blade: The Series premiered June 28, 2006, as the first scripted live-action series on cable's Spike TV channel. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

They say that men are from Mars, but one woman finds happiness when her boyfriend is taken over by visitors from another part of the galaxy in this sexy sci-fi comedy. Amanda (Nicole Eggert) is an aspiring artist who supports herself working at a clothing store; she doesn't care for her job, and her boyfriend Charlie (Michael Bendetti) is chronically unfaithful to her. A pair of government agents, Emmitt (Stacy Keach) and Vint (Michael Dorn), have captured a space alien and are guarding it in a secret safe house; however, the alien escapes, and takes over the body of Flores (Alex Maneses), a woman working as a domestic at the house. Amanda meets "Flores" in a coffeehouse and realizes that the runaway alien lurks within; sympathetic to the space creature's plight, she offers to help it escape, and even gives it a new body to travel in -- Charlie's, which suddenly makes him a lot easier to get along with, and even a bit sexier.
