Jamie Luner Movies

Actress Jamie Luner got her feet wet in acting with recurring roles on two popular sitcoms of the early '90s: Growing Pains and Just the Ten of Us. She would go on to appear in a number of TV movies, like Confessions of Sorority Girls, and eventually joined the cast of the nighttime soap Melrose Place from 1997 to 1999, when the show ended its run. That same year, Luner snagged the starring role in the series Profiler, which lasted until 2000. She would continue to find success with TV movies like Stranger in My Bed and The Perfect Marriage, and in 2009, she was cast as Liz Colby in the daytime soap opera All My Children. ~ Cammila Collar, Rovi

Evidently inspired by the 1958 theatrical feature It! The Terror From Beyond Space (which, of course, was also the basis for the 1979 thriller Alien), this made-for-cable melodrama begins as the crew of the space shuttle Oklahoma returns to earth after a routine mission. Unbeknownst to them, they have also brought back an alien "guest" in the form of seeds which blossom into insectoid life-forms, infiltrating human bodies to complete their evolution. At first, the victims of these aliens think they've merely broken out in blisters, but they soon learn differently -- to their unutterable horror. Racing against the clock, the Oklahoma's chief medical officer "Geronimo" Horne (Nicholas Lea) works in concert with his colleague Thaddeus Owens (Anthony Sherwood) and entimologist Savannah Bailey (Jamie Luner) to stem the alien invasion before the rapidly proliferating creatures reach the "threshold" amount -- at which point they will be impossible to control. Threshold debuted April 19, 2003, on the Sci-Fi Channel. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Drew (Drew Carey) gets his job back at Winfred-Louder, but only on condition that he pose as the "gay" partner of Mr. Wick (Craig Ferguson)--who risks deportation if he isn't wed to an American. In order to continue pulling the wool over the eyes of the INS, Wick moves in with Drew, a setup that makes both of them miserable. Sympathetic to their friend's plight, Oswald (Diedrich Bader) and Lewis (Ryan Stiles) suggest that Drew cheer himself up by having sex with a woman--but alas, the most likely candidate is Kate (Christa Miller), who is now "just friends" with Drew and doesn't intend to be otherwise. The girl finally chosen for the Big Event is Jenny (Jamie Luner), the extremely weird and grotesquely horny cousin of Drew's sworn enemy Mimi (Kathy Kinney)! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Pierce escapes jail and begins to sniff out the killer by exploring the rural countryside where his daughter was slain. An ex-prostitute, Naomi (Jamie Luner), offers assistance in his relentless hunt and helps to hide him from FBI agent Gottfried (Bokeem Woodbine), who is equally devoted to bringing Pierce back to prison. The fourth and final season of Profiler begins with the three-episode conclusion of the cliffhanger established in Season Three, when the elusive serial killer Jack of All Trades (Dennis Christopher) manages to kidnap psychic forensic special Sam Waters (Ally Walker) and seriously wound Sam's boss Bailey Malone (Robert Davi). Spiriting Sam away to his hideout, Jack (whose real name and raison d'etre is finally revealed) embarks on a series of fiendishly clever mind games, designed to transform Sam into one of his disciples. Jack also indulges in some long-distance brainwashing with Sam's daughter Cloe (Evan Rachel Wood), intending to turn the girl violently against her mother. Meanwhile, the convalescing Bailey appoints another FBI "profiler", Rachel Burke (Jamie Luner), to take charge of the Violent Criminal Task Force and hopefully rescue Sam before it's too late. At this point, longtime series regulars Ally Walker, Dennis Christopher, Evan Rachel Wood and Erica Gimpel (cast as Sam's best friend Angel) leave the series, and Jamie Luner is promoted to star billing. It doesn't take long for Rachel Burke to foment ill will amongst the VCTF team members with her brusque know-it-all attitude, though it cannot be denied that she is every bit as talented in tracking down multiple murderers as her predecessor. Rachel also makes powerful enemies within the FBI, most notably rogue agent Mark (Gregory Itzin), who as the season wears on develops into Rachel's own "Jack of All Trades"-style tormentor. Rachel's more sensitive side is revealed in the episode "Clean Sweep", a crossover with the NBC series The Pretender in which the leading character of that series, Jarod Russell (Michael T. Weiss), falls in love with the mercurial Ms. Burke. The series ends on an uncertain note, as Rachel is plunged into despair over her inability to prevent the death of a loved one, her colleagues Grace (Roma Maffia) and George (Peter Frechette) respectively struggle with a crumbling marriage and an increasing dependency upon prescription pain killers, and Congress prepares to yank all funding from the VCTF. An additional episode, "Tsuris", originally scheduled to air at an earlier date, brings Profiler to an end with everyone's fate still dangling precipitously. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

This campy remake of Roger Corman's 1957 drama Sorority Girl was part of a series of made-for-cable adaptations of old American International Pictures titles, prepared by original co-producer Samuel Z. Arkoff. Uli Edel captures just about the right over-the-top theatrics in this period drama, set at the end of the 1950s at a small college campus. Jamie Luner of TV's Profiler and Melrose Place, plays Sabrina, a troubled and sadistic co-ed newly arrived at college, who proceeds to try and dominate the students around her, manipulating the men and tormenting and disrupting the lives of the women. She's not above blackmail and fabricating vicious lies to get what she wants, showing a potentially murderous streak as well. ~ Bruce Eder, Rovi
