Years after his younger brother Francis was abducted by the elusive predator who hunted his young victims at a local amusement park, Jake Richardson returns to his childhood community of Eidolon Crossing only to discover that the voices of the dead still have something to say. When Jake was just a young boy, Eidolon Crossing flourished thanks to the profits made at nearby Dogwood Park. A modest amusement park on the outskirts of town, Dogwood Park brought outside traffic into town and gave the kids someplace safe to play; until the infamous child murders began, that is. From the moment the body of the first child was found at Dogwood Park, it seemed like a dark curse had befallen this once jovial playground. Over the course of the next thirty-five years, twenty-six more children would disappear from Dogwood Park and the locals grimly christened it Deadwood Park. Eventually, the park went out of business, plunging Eidolon Crossing into financial ruin. Back in 1979, Jake Richardson's younger brother Francis became the last child to fall victim to mysterious Deadwood Park killer. In the aftermath of the tragedy, Jake and his family moved away from Eidolon Crossing. Now, something is calling Jake back to his childhood haunt - something beyond his comprehension. Upon returning to his childhood home, Jake is shocked to find that the victims of the Deadwood Park killer aren't resting quietly. As mysterious shadows splash across the walls of his childhood home and eerie, disembodied voices lead him back to the amusement park where so many innocent youngsters once met their doom, the chilling final chapter in the story of Deadwood Park finally begins to unfold. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

A relaxing vacation down a calm river turns into a bloody battle for survival when six friends enter an old town with a deadly secret. Upon first glance, the small town of Old Mines looks just like any other backwoods speck on the map: Lots of open fields, a few ramshackle barns dotting the landscape, and lots of locals who aren't too keen on talking with strangers. But when six longtime friends arrive in Old Springs for a weekend of floating down the lazy river, the local police advise the easygoing vacationers to leave while they still can. Chalking the warning up to little more than small-town xenophobia, the vacationers take to the water just as some nasty secrets about Old Springs begin to surface. Specifically, stories about a deformed, seven foot-tall homicidal maniac whose sole purpose in life is to rid Old Springs of strangers in the most violent manner his mangled mind can dream up. As the mayor releases the psychotic killer known only as "The Boy," the gruesome hunt begins. But where did "The Boy" come from, and how was he transformed into such a murderous brute? ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Cult filmmaker Eric Stanze (Ice From the Sun) took a break from his more personal independent films to oversee the creation of the Sub Rosa Extreme video line for producer Ron Bonk, directing this flagship release himself. Like most of the films in the series, it is an extrapolation of a classic horror film, in this case I Spit on Your Grave, shot on a very low budget and packed with far more carnage and sleaze than the original. Emily Haack from the director's Scrapbook stars as Sandy, the daughter of the protagonist in the original film. Sandy's boyfriend, Kevin (Stanze acting under the name "Scot Spookytooth") breaks out of prison and kidnaps her, along with three men whom he blames for his incarceration. They're chained in the basement, and think they will be freed after the feisty Sandy guts Kevin with a crowbar, but she has her own bone to pick with the three prisoners, each of whom had sexually harassed her in the past. One man is shot in the crotch, while another is burned below the waist with a cigarette before being forced to defecate, having his face shoved into his own waste like a dog, and then being brutally chopped to death with an axe. The worst horrors are in store for the third man, however, as Sandy first teases him by explicitly pleasuring herself with the broomstick as he watches, then bloodily rapes him with it before stabbing him to death. D.J. Vivano and Jeff Atwater co-star. Other Sub Rosa Extreme films include Insaniac, The Christmas Season Massacre, and Last House on Hell Street, each paying homage to a separate cult horror film. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi

One woman's harrowing torture at the hands of a madman leads her into a pit of madness from which she may never escape in this ultra-violent horror film. Carla (Emily Haack) is a young woman who is abducted by a violent psychopath named Leonard (Tommy Biondo). While Leonard has done this before, and always kills his victims, death is hardly the worst part of their ordeal; as Leonard puts Carla through his usual routine of humiliation and torture, he forces her to write about her abuse in a scrapbook, which features writings from his other victims, as well as photos of their mutilated bodies, locks of their hair, bits of their clothing, and other "souvenirs." After Carla makes several attempts to escape -- which cause Leonard to torture her with even greater vehemence -- she decides her only hope for survival is to read the journals of her fellow victims and see if Leonard has any weaknesses she can exploit. Leading man Tommy Biondo also wrote Scrapbook; it was his last film, as he died in 1999, prior to the release of this picture. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

In the small town of Dittmer, MO, a group of friends goes to the lakeside home owned by Gary, the uncle of one of them, to help clean out an old shed, but what they don't know is that the property sits on an old Indian burial ground. Gary tells the kids the story of the agony and death of the Trail of Tears, and a Cherokee elder (Wes Robertson) who used black magic in an attempt to help his tribe. The elder was consumed by the evil spirits and turned all the crops to stone. As punishment, he was thrown into a spring-fed hole and covered with rocks, which a recent flood has washed up. These rocks contain demonic spirits, and the legend goes that when a descendant of the elder comes to the land, the demons will arise and possess the living. None of the kids are Cherokee, but one of them had an accident requiring a blood transfusion some time before. Pretty soon, the kids start becoming possessed, grow giant sharp fangs, and the blood starts flowing as the evil dead rise to claim their victims. There's a screwdriver in the head, a demon stabs a kid in the neck with his venomous spiked tongue, throats are ripped out with clawed hands, a zombie is crushed with an old refrigerator, a head is blasted apart with a shotgun at close range, a chainsaw dismemberment, a shovel in the chest, a smashed skull, an electrocution, and a girl is completely torn in half and gorily cannibalized. Eventually, the elder returns through a spiritual barrier as a horned demon named Retlawkoob (Jerry Bates), and that's when the surviving kids really have their hands full. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi
