Crikey! Following a brief cameo in Dr. Dolittle 2 (2001), hyperactive, high-energy cable television star and native Australian naturalist Steve Irwin parlays his success as a confronter of all things scaly, fanged, and venomous into this feature-film adventure. Irwin and his wife Terri Irwin play themselves as animal activists who rescue an endangered crocodile, not realizing that the critter has swallowed a downed top-secret satellite beacon that's the subject of an intense search by CIA personnel. Believing that the spies are poachers out to steal the animal's precious hide, the Irwins evade their pursuers while attempting to get the crocodile to safety in a remote area of the Outback, adopting an orphaned joey (a baby kangaroo), and grappling with bird-eating spiders and poisonous snakes along the way. In the meantime, the secret agents mistakenly believe the Irwins are enemy operatives trying to steal their highly valuable technology. The real-life Irwins donated all of their fees from The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course (2002) to wildlife conservation efforts. ~ Karl Williams, All Movie Guide

Eddie Murphy returns as a doctor with a gift for talking to animals in this sequel to a box-office blockbuster. Murphy is John Dolittle, who this time around attempts to save an endangered Pacific forest from lumber industry forces by reintegrating an endangered species of bear back into the wild. Unfortunately, Dolittle's candidate is a performing bear (voice of Steve Zahn) with a taste for junk food and no natural skills in the wild. If Dolittle is going to save the species and its habitat, he must get him to mate with a fussy female (Lisa Kudrow) by providing lessons in winning the heart of the opposite sex. Dr. Dolittle's problems are compounded by a local animal work stoppage and furry woodland creatures who have organized their own version of the Mafia. Norm Macdonald returns as the voice of Lucky the Dog, co-starring with Kevin Pollak, Jeffrey Jones, Michael Rapaport, Molly Shannon, Reni Santoni, and Kristen Wilson. ~ Karl Williams, All Movie Guide

In this episode of the popular series, croc hunter Steve Irwin confronts the spitting cobras of the world, some of the planet's deadliest predators. Armed only with a pair of goggles, Irwin gets closer than most would like to these dangerous creatures. His awe at the wonders of the natural world is infectious, if somewhat disturbing. In this episode, the croc hunter examines the life and habits of some of Africa's deadliest reptiles. Displaying the almost childish sense of wonder and blasé approach to danger he has become famous for, croc hunter Steve Irwin stays true to the spirit of his show in doing things most people would never dream of. Whether crouching to let a snake lick his face, or dangling a poisonous serpent by its tail, Irwin is sure to leave his audience gasping. With that in mind, this video may be too intense for younger viewers. Mom and Dad might want to give it a pre-screening. ~ Rob Ferrier, All Movie Guide

Daring wildlife explorers Steve and Terri Irwin give viewers a lively, hair-raising look at some of the most amazing captures of crocodiles they have been involved with. Explaining how each capture requires different skills and techniques (according to the individual temperament and attributes of the crocodile being caught), the Irwins share the experiences of safely catching the jawless "Nobby," the agressive "Charlie," the elusive "Bindi," and the feisty "Lucy." Scenes include Steve attempting to catch a crocodile with his hands at night in a muddy water, diving to free a crocodile trapped in a net, and teasing a 300-pound crocodile to the point of attack - then playing around with it. The Irwins also tell the stories of adventures they've encountered while working to save Australian crocodiles, in zoos as well as in the wild. ~ Alice Duncan, All Movie Guide

Fred comes to the attention of child psychologist Jane Grierson (Dianne Wiest), who runs a summer camp for child prodigies called Odyssey of the Mind.
