A vacationing couple frustrated by obnoxious teens, careless litterers, and pre-booked RV sites find their peaceful trip to the countryside turning unexpectedly bloody in this black comedy from director Ben Wheatley (Down Terrace, Kill List) and producer Edgar Wright (Attack the Block). His girlfriend Tina (Alice Lowe) having led a particularly sheltered life, Chris (Steve Oram) packs up his cherished Abbey Oxford caravan, and prepares to take her on a guided tour of his favorite destinations. The Crich Tramway Museum, the Ribblehead Viaduct, and the Keswick Pencil Museum are all on his "must see" list, but along the way, they'll have a chance to breathe easy while soaking in the lush scenery of rural Britain. Not long after they hit the road, however, a series of minor irritations start to disrupt Chris' attempt to show Tina the perfect holiday. When he finally explodes, Tina sees a side of her new boyfriend that's at once terrifying, and strangely exciting. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Simmering marital tensions and unexpected complications weigh heavily on the conscience of a seasoned contract killer in this dark thriller from Down Terrace director Ben Wheatley. An ex-soldier in desperate need of work, Jay (Neil Maskell) is hosting a dinner party with his wife, Shel (MyAnna Buring), when the conversation with guests Gal (Michael Smiley) and Fiona (Emma Fryer) turns suddenly combative. In the aftermath of the incident, Gal proposes to Jay that they both earn a hearty payday by accepting a few well-timed contract jobs. Meanwhile, as the pair go to work getting a lock on their targets, Jay finds himself increasingly distracted by domestic issues and his growing desire to be a good father. Jay's paternal instincts drive him to violent extremes, however, when he makes a shocking discovery about one of the men on his list. Later, after finding a new tool to get the job done, the details of Jay's latest assignment begin to take on deeply ominous undertones. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

A family on the wrong side of the law has some serious business to attend to in this black comedy from British filmmaker Ben Wheatley. Karl (Robin Hill) followed his father, Bill (Robert Hill), into the family business, which in this case happens to be organized crime, and their occupational hazards become obvious when the two return to the family home after a few days in jail. Bill is convinced that one of their associates has been talking to the police, and whoever it is needs to be silenced as soon as possible, but first they have to figure out who is the snitch. As Karl and Bill ponder the likely suspects as their allies stop by the house to check in on them -- including well-connected Uncle Eric (David Schaal), shady nightclub manager Garvey (Tony Way), crooked politician Councilor Berman (Mark Kempner), and enforcer Pringle (Michael Smiley) -- Karl gets some unexpected news from his girlfriend, Valda (Kerry Peacock), who announces that she's pregnant with his child. Karl isn't certain he's ready for the responsibilities of parenthood, and Bill and his wife, Maggie (Julia Deakin), aren't very excited about being grandparents, but the upcoming addition to the family becomes a secondary concern after Bill decides he's figured out who's the rat in the organization. Down Terrace screened at the 2010 Slamdance Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Director Omar Ali Khan teams with Mondo Macabro to create Pakistan's first splatter flick, a demented tale of terror pitting a group of stranded teens against a horde of hungry zombies, a shrieking hitchhiker, and a burqa-clad killer armed with a gore-drenched mace. They were on the road to adventure when their van ran out of gas. Now, as a desperate group of teens attempt to navigate their way out of a darkened forest, the earth cracks open to reveal an army of cannibalistic corpses. As if brain-eating zombies weren't enough to contend with, there's also a banshee-like hitchhiker stalking the teens at every turn. But this nightmare has only begun, because when a menacing figure in a bloody burqa appears wielding a medieval weapon, any hope for survival seems as far off as the morning sun. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Strongly recalling the film noir feel and labyrinthine plot twists of The Usual Suspects (1995), this German production featuring an all-English cast is a madcap caper flick about a quartet of dull-witted would-be bank robbers. The film opens with the police surveying the bloody aftermath of a botched robbery. The sole survivor, Jo Simpson (Claire Skinner), is carted off not by the cops -- to the surprise of Inspector Badger (John Benfield) -- but by the ultra-secret Cyclops Institute, where she is interrogated. Piece by piece, the investigators learn about her three accomplices, Eddie (Rhys Ifans) and Ian (David Schneider), two young losers who were obsessed with becoming famous, and the older, more experienced con man Michael (John Hurt). The investigators also learn about the mysterious way in which the criminals get caught up in schemes not of their own making, by way of an anonymous package containing a videotape and blueprints of the bank. It is eventually revealed that Simpson's memory is not as reliable as it might appear. ~ Jonathan Crow, Rovi
