Former USC Middleweight Champion Richard Franklin stars in this sci-fi action flick about a former death row inmate who is genetically reconstructed to be the perfect human weapon, and who attempts to blow the lid off the clandestine military program responsible for his remarkable transformation. I.S.A.A.C. (Intuitive Synthetic Autonomous Assault Commando) is the prototype of a highly classified government program designed to create assassins that are both intellectually superior, and possess the power to physically regenerate their bodies and minds. Upon breaking free from the lab, I.S.A.A.C. takes Deputy Lindsay Rearden (Tiffani Thiessen) hostage in an attempt to expose the program used to create him to the public. But accomplishing this mission will be no simple task, because world-renowned robotic engineer Simon Hart (Bruce Greenwood) is hot on I.S.A.A.C.'s trail, and he's got a small army of military agents who have orders to shoot on sight. Now the chase is under way, and the man responsible for creating I.S.A.A.C. is about to find out just what a remarkable specimen he's truly created. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

A trio of married women who are all cheating on their husbands find themselves stalked by a vicious serial killer in this made-for-cable drama. Dr. Bobbie Adler (Wendy Anderson), an unorthodox psychiatrist and radio host, advises her patients to seek out no-strings hook-ups if their husbands aren't meeting their sexual needs. But when Bobbie and her own paramour are found stabbed to death, it soon becomes clear that somebody's unhappy with the shrink's advice ... and those who follow it. That leaves Adler's patients -- neglected housewife Linda (Charisma Carpenter), bossy lawyer Meredith (Krista Bridges) and uptight realtor Cindy (Katya Gardner) -- to worry that Detective Rollins (Kate Trotter), the cop assigned to the case, will expose their adulterous ways. But with a revenge-crazed killer at large, cuckolded husbands are the least of their worries. Cheater's Club premiered June 26, 2006 on the Lifetime cable network. ~ Brian J. Dillard, All Movie Guide

Following the death of her drug-addicted mother, a whimsical young girl follows her chemically dependent father to a remote prairie house to discover a wondrous world of magical fireflies and nocturnal bog men in this hallucinatory childhood fantasy from visionary filmmaker Terry Gilliam. Noah (Jeff Bridges) is a burnt-out rock star whose post-superstar voyage to obscurity is hastened by a serious drug addiction that is also shared with his wild-eyed wife (Jennifer Tilly). When the Noah's increasingly erratic wife suffers a fatal overdose, the faded rock star opts to escape the painful reality by retreating to a ramshackle remote home with his young daughter, Jeliza-Rose (Jodelle Ferland). Left to her own devices as her father stumbles about the grasslands in a drug-induced haze, Jeliza-Rose soon ventures into her own fantasy land before making the acquaintance of mentally challenged youth Dickens (Brendan Fletcher). As the two become fast friends and Jeliza-Rose joins the swimsuit-clad Dickens in defeating the menacing shark that traverses the nearby railways, the pair are watched over by Dickens' black-clad sister, Dell (Janet McTeer), who acts as Dickens' guardian and whose overly enthusiastic interest in the art of taxidermy borders on obsessive. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

In this romantic comedy, two guys who've discovered Age 30 in their rear-view mirror try to unravel the mysteries of life and love in beautiful Saskatchewan. Sam (Michael Goorjian) is a guy in his late 20s who is looking for the woman of his dreams but isn't having much luck. His best friend Jim (David Lovgren) isn't nearly as fussy as Sam; he'll take a chance on any woman that seems moderately attractive, especially ones that Sam has expressed an interest in. Sam likes to pass himself off as a moody intellectual, but this act doesn't get him very far with Kelly (Chandra West), an insurance investigator who seems a bit flaky on the surface but soon works her way into Sam's heart. However, Jim, true to form, has to make a play for her as well. Jennifer Beals appears in a supporting role as a waitress who gives Sam lessons in how to sound deep and pretentious. Something More was shot in 1997, but it didn't emerge from the editing room until 1999 for its initial Canadian release. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
