Originally titled Art of Betrayal, the nightly, hour-long Wicked Wicked Games was the fourth of the fledgling MyNetwork's English-language "novellas." When the series was first announced, Sean Young was billed as the leading character, ruthless real-estate magnate Blythe Hunter, by the time filming commenced, Young had been replaced by former child actress Tatum O'Neal. 25 years after she and her twin sons were abandoned by her husband Theodore Crawford (Clive Robertson), who threw her over for a much wealthier woman, the now-powerful and influential Blythe set about to orchestrate an intricate and fiendish plan of revenge. Her scheme involved having her grown sons Josh (David Smith) and Aaron (Jack Krizmanich) insinuate themselves into the lives and hearts of Crawford's daughters Emma (Jessie Ward) and Brooke (Kate French), the better to marry the girls so that Blythe could gain full control of Crawford's business empire in general and his "Tides" racetrack in particular. Complications ensued when, digressing from the plan, Aaron fell for party-girl Brooke instead of sensible Emma, while Josh, a doctor who initially had no idea what his mother was up to, suddenly tumbled to the revenge plot. The enormous supporting cast was headed by Femi Emiola as Blythe's assistant Lani Walker, who may have had more on her mind than mere job security. The first of the 65 Wicked Wicked Games episodes premiered December 6, 2006, as the replacement for the previous MyNetwork prime time soap opera Desire. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Johanna (Josette Simon) is a Jamaican woman who emigrates to Canada to escape the crushing poverty of her homeland. She lands a job as a nanny for a yuppie couple and develops a loving relationship with their children. Johanna misses her son David (Richard Mills) and makes plans to fly him up for the Christmas holiday. Her friends try and talk her into letting the boy stay illegally and enlist the help of Gordon (Errol Slue) to falsify the necessary documents. David and Johanna are housed by Adam (Lyman Ward), the school principal who once tried to seduce Johanna after she attended a night class he was teaching. Later, mother and son face deportation, and Adam loses his job for intentionally ignoring David's bogus immigration documents. ~ Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide

This Canadian drama, set in Toronto's Afro-Caribbean sector, chronicles the plight of a Jamaican-Canadian struggling to survive in an urban environment. Tyrone Taylor is in his in his twenties. He works in a salon, but he doesn't like the work. What he really wants is some easy money and a way to get out. He starts collecting debts for Winston Price, a gangster and the owner of a nearby club. The work is violent and illegal, but Tyrone rationalizes the work and ignores those aspects. He just keeps the money he earns in hopes of getting into a cleaner business. Though his girlfriend and family warn him of the dangers of the life he has chosen, the naive Tyrone continues, foolishly believing he is too careful to get caught. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide

Kickboxing champ Jerry Pelt (Jerry Trimble) is the One Man Army of the title. Not that he dons khaki or anything, it's just that Jerry proves more than a match for a batalion of bad guys. It seems that a small-town bigwig has arranged for the murder of Jerry's grandfather. With the law on the villains' side, Jerry has no recourse but to kick, poke and jab away. Ollie Rennie (Garry McDonald) really has no business running a caretaking institution of any kind, much less one for the mentally handicapped; he's an alcoholic, has no respect for other people, and persistently tries to put the make on an unwilling social worker. All the same, he runs an institution of just that kind, with the unappealing name of "Saltmarsh." Things at the school get considerably livelier when a new man comes onto the scene. Pat (Brian Vriends) was doing just fine as a physical education instructor at a school for "normal" kids, but one day he went on a rampage against junk food, destroying the school snack bar in the process, and was quickly fired. Despite his recent reversal, he is upbeat about his new job. He decides to engage these hopelessly uncoordinated kids in soccer matches. They compete against themselves and against regular kids. Needless to say, they lose against the regular kids, but one day one of their number actually manages to score against one of them, and there are celebrations all round. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide
